On the morning of December 31, 2013, Xie Kaihua, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, Deputy Director Li Weimin, and seven people including heads of the Business Service Division, City Transport Division, Political Division, and Office visited the Sichuan Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association for work research and New Year greetings, and held a symposium.
At the meeting, Comrade Yang Ze, Secretary-General of the Sichuan Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association, reported to the leaders of the Department of Commerce on the association's work in 2013 and the development of the laundry and dyeing industry in the province.
The report stated that the overall trend of the industry's development in the province in 2013 was very good. After investigating, evaluating, and analyzing the operating income of typical key enterprises and ordinary stores, the total output value of the laundry and dyeing industry in the province increased by 10–13%. In 2013, through the promotion and implementation of the "Standards" organized by the Department's Business Service Division, laundry accident disputes decreased. The meeting also reported changes in the development model of the new laundry and dyeing industry in Sichuan Province, with centralized washing in central factories and a new model of stores receiving and dispatching items accelerating development. It was also introduced that laundry services are entering supermarkets, shopping malls, and communities, gradually moving towards diversification.
After the report, the leaders of the Sichuan Provincial Department fully affirmed the work and achievements of the Sichuan Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association in recent years and put forward important guiding opinions on the future development of the industry. Director Xie pointed out: It is necessary to accelerate the construction of high-quality services in the Sichuan laundry and dyeing industry, continue to carry out the provincial evaluation of "Trustworthy Laundry Stores" to create a batch of high-quality, standardized, and consumer-trusted laundry stores, and require key large laundry enterprises such as Sichuan Branch, Rachel, and Clean Clothes Hall to take the lead as leading enterprises; further improve the technical skills training and guidance for employees in the provincial laundry and dyeing industry; at the same time, hope the provincial laundry and dyeing industry association unite and work hard, strive to set an example among all business associations in the Sichuan provincial commerce system, and strive to become a typical advanced industry association in Sichuan Province.
Hu Wenjun, President of the Sichuan Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association, on behalf of the association, expressed to the provincial department leaders: Not to disappoint the high expectations of the department leaders, to convey the spirit of the leaders' instructions, to continue to work hard on the association's work, lead colleagues in the provincial laundry and dyeing industry to work hard together, and promote the healthy and orderly development of the Sichuan laundry and dyeing industry.
