----A Brief History of the Development of the Dazhou City Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association in Sichuan Province
Under the care and guidance of government departments at all levels, the Dazhou City Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association has always taken serving its members and developing the industry as its mission. Using the association as a platform, it alleviates government burdens and serves consumers. Through a variety of activities, it has united people, stimulated vitality, and played a positive role in the healthy and orderly development of the laundry and dyeing industry in Dazhou City. These achievements have been unanimously recognized by the city’s Bureau of Commerce leadership, which published a special development bulletin for our association.
Since its establishment one year ago, the association has organized laundry and dyeing enterprises to visit advanced cities in the industry such as Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Chengdu, and Chongqing for study and inspection. At the same time, it has invited well-known experts Yang Duo, Xue Zhaofeng from inside and outside the province, as well as peers from Chongqing, to Dazhou to share their expertise and provide guidance. By going out and inviting in, through on-site visits and exchanges, operators have broadened their horizons, shared experiences, identified gaps, and gained confidence. In addition, the association launched the "2013 Spring Festival Beneficial Laundry Service Month" to promote and expand its influence.
1. Carrying out "Going Out to Learn" activities to improve professional knowledge and skills. On March 18, 2013, a delegation of 10 people from the Dazhou City Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association went to Wuhan, Hubei Province, to participate in training and assessment for national vocational skill competition judges and evaluators organized by the Ministry of Labor and Personnel. All 10 passed successfully and obtained the national-level "Laundry Worker Functional Skill Assessment Evaluator Certificate" and also passed the assessment to obtain the national-level "Laundry Worker Vocational Skill Judge Certificate." From June 4 to 6, 2013, the association sent Hou Wenjun from Jieya Property Cleaning Co., Ltd. to participate in the 2013 National Dalian Luxury Leather Care Technology event hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce Laundry Professional Committee. This broadened his horizons and revealed the rapid development and huge market share of luxury goods maintenance in China, presenting a promising prospect. This became a good opportunity for the Dazhou laundry industry to expand operations and accelerate development. The association has organized multiple study and inspection trips to advanced laundry cities such as Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Chengdu, and Chongqing. For example, on December 25, 2012, it visited Chongqing to learn and draw on experiences in technological innovation, energy conservation, emission reduction, and industry self-discipline among Chongqing laundry enterprises, learning through inspection and gaining insights through study.
2. Carrying out "Inviting In to Teach" activities to introduce advanced management experience and industry development trends to our city. The association invited Xue Zhaofeng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Association, Yang Duo, President of the Provincial Association, and peers from Chongqing to conduct specialized skills training in our city. After assessment, 19 people passed the exam and obtained the "Level 2 Laundry Worker" technician qualification certificate. The association also invited Li Jingjin, General Manager of Shanghai Weishi Laundry Equipment Co., Ltd., to train association members on how dry cleaning shops can improve sales performance and how to conduct laundry shop marketing.
3. Carrying out public welfare activities to enhance the association’s vitality, care for vulnerable social groups, and raise the association’s social responsibility awareness. In response to the Provincial Department of Commerce’s organization of the "2013 Spring Festival Beneficial Laundry Service Month," first, the association launched a "Warmth Delivery" activity during the New Year and Spring Festival period, organizing laundry enterprises to provide free washing of more than 3,000 quilts for "Five Guarantees" elderly and over 900 quilts for disabled persons. Second, it provided free curtain cleaning services for 200 sets at the city social welfare institute, 180 sets at the Tongchuan District social welfare institute, and more than 580 sets at the Daxian Honor Home, receiving praise from the "Five Guarantees," orphaned and disabled children, and retired veterans.
Over the past year, these achievements by the association have received support and recognition from government leadership and all sectors of society. In 2011, it was awarded one "Advanced Unit" in the provincial laundry and dyeing industry, three "Typical Statistical Survey Enterprises in the Commercial Circulation Industry" by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, one person received the excellent "Contribution Award" in the provincial laundry and dyeing industry in 2011, and in 2013 it became a "Governing Unit" member of the China Commercial Federation Laundry Professional Committee. Our association will work even harder to perform its duties, improve the service quality of the laundry and dyeing industry, and promote the healthy and orderly development of the industry.
Under the guidance and care of all sectors of society, the association continues to grow and develop. Our association will, as always, serve society and our members wholeheartedly, leading the Dazhou laundry industry to new heights.
