　　This standard refers to international standards 150 / DP 3758 / 5
　　"Recommendation 150 on Graphic Symbols for Textile and Clothing Care Instructions."
　　1. Subject Matter and Scope.
　　This standard specifies the graphic symbols and their meanings for textile and clothing care instructions, providing a basis for manufacturers to prepare care instructions and offering care information to consumers and relevant social service departments.

　　3. Terms
　　3.1 Textile
　　A general term for textile industrial products that have undergone processes such as weaving, dyeing, or printing, and can be used directly or require further processing. Examples include yarn, thread, rope, fabric, towels, sheets, carpets, socks, tablecloths, etc. (see GB 3291 - 1.1.3).
　　3.2 Washing
　　Placing textiles or clothing in a water container for washing. Washing includes the following operations: soaking, pre-washing, regular washing (usually with heating, mechanical action, and detergent addition), and rinsing. Dehydration, i.e., spinning or wringing during or after washing. Washing can be done by machine or by hand.
　　3.3 Chlorine Bleaching
　　Using chlorine bleach in aqueous solution before, during, or after washing to enhance whiteness and remove stains.
　　3.4 Ironing
　　Using appropriate tools and equipment to iron textiles or clothing to restore their shape and appearance.
　　3.5 Dry Cleaning
　　Washing textiles or clothing with organic solvents, including necessary stain removal, rinsing, dehydration, and drying.
　　3.6 Drying After Washing
　　Removing residual moisture from textiles or clothing after washing. If spinning or wringing is not suitable, drip drying is allowed.
　　4. Basic Graphic Symbols
　　4.1 There are five basic graphic symbols for textile and clothing care instructions, see Table 1.
　　5. Application and Requirements of Graphic Symbols
　　5.1 Placement of Graphic Symbols
　　Graphic symbols can be directly printed or woven on textiles, or made into labels by weaving, printing, or other methods, and attached to textiles, clothing (including decorations, buttons, zippers, linings, etc.), and their packaging by sewing, hanging, or sticking as needed.
　　5.2 Arrangement of Graphic Symbols
　　Graphic symbols should be arranged in the order of washing, chlorine bleaching, ironing, dry cleaning, and drying after washing. Necessary symbols can be selected according to the properties and requirements of the textiles or clothing.
　　5.3 Color of Graphic Symbols
　　Graphic symbols directly printed or woven on textiles should be clearly visible against the background color. Label backgrounds are generally white with black symbols. The symbol "x" may be red to make it more noticeable. Graphic symbols on the same care instruction should use the same color. Symbols should remain clear and easily distinguishable.
　　6. Supplementary Descriptive Terms
　　When graphic symbols are insufficient, supplementary descriptive terms may be used. See Appendix A for supplementary descriptive terms.
　　7. Others
　　For export products, if there are additional requirements for graphic symbols, they may be implemented according to agreements.
