The first member representative meeting of the fourth session of the Qingdao Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association was grandly held in Qingdao on September 2, 2011. This representative meeting summarized the work of the past period and organized the re-election of the association.
Director Yin Qixin and Director Niu Dejun of Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Director Zhang Zhiqin of Qingdao Civil Organization Management Bureau, Secretary-General Sun Peixu of Qingdao Consumer Protection Committee, Minister Yang Kerong of Qingdao Technical Supervision Bureau, and other leaders attended the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Huang Dianwu, Secretary-General of Qingdao Laundry and Dyeing Association, who delivered the work report. At the meeting, Secretary-General Huang informed the members about the association's financial income and expenditure from 2007 to 2010; reviewed and approved the membership fee standards and management methods, election methods, etc.; and elected Sun Weipeng as the president of this session of the Laundry and Dyeing Association, Zhu Xiangsheng, Cheng Wenshen, and 7 others as vice presidents, and Huang Dianwu as secretary-general.
Qingdao Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association was established in August 2000, with 73 member units covering many fields including state-owned and individual laundry and dyeing industries, washing machinery manufacturing, washing product sales, and washing chemical production enterprises. Over the years, the association has aimed to revitalize the laundry and dyeing industry, actively serving as a bridge and link between enterprises and government departments, making positive contributions in strengthening industry norms, enhancing industry self-discipline, regulating the industry market, and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of operators and consumers. The association has been successively awarded titles such as "National Vocational Skills Competition Excellent Organization Unit," "Top Ten Highlight Associations in Qingdao," and "Qingdao Vocational Skills Competition Excellent Organization Unit."
With the continuous deepening of various tasks, the daily work functions within the association have also become increasingly complete. In 2006, the Qingdao Consumer Association established the "3.15 Laundry and Dyeing Industry Complaint Station" within the Qingdao Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association. Over the years, the complaint station has helped industry staff and consumers resolve 105 clothing rescue accident disputes, recovering nearly 500,000 yuan in economic losses for those seeking help. Through the continuous efforts of the association's staff, the number of dispute complaints accepted by the Qingdao Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association has decreased year by year.
At the same time, the Qingdao Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association has also made outstanding contributions in talent cultivation, achieving fruitful results. The association has now trained 4 national-level lecturers, 6 national-level referees, 52 senior technicians in the laundry and dyeing industry, 13 technicians, 55 senior laundry workers, 67 intermediate laundry workers, and 103 junior laundry workers. Among them, one practitioner has been awarded the honorary title of "Chief Technician of Qingdao." Under the organization and leadership of the association, our city's practitioners have repeatedly achieved top three results in national skills competitions.
Summarizing the development and progress of Qingdao industry associations in recent years, the newly appointed president of the Qingdao Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association, Sun Weipeng, said excitedly: "As the national laundry and dyeing industry gradually moves towards scale, our Qingdao Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association must also be standardized and improved. This meeting is not only a summary of past work but also has a profound impact on the future development of the association."
The meeting concluded successfully amid a harmonious atmosphere.
