Jiangsu Province Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association
Jiangsu's laundry and dyeing industry has a long history. The laundry workers in Jiangsu are diligent and hardworking, daring to take paths not previously traveled, courageous in innovation, and actively exploring. Therefore, the complaint rate for accidents in Jiangsu's laundry and dyeing industry in 2010 was lower than any previous year. In 2011, it was successively rated as a three-star industry association by the "Jiangsu Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission" and was appointed as a council member unit by the "Jiangsu Consumer Association."
In recent years, the "Technical Quality Professional Committee of Jiangsu Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association" has led senior technical personnel in the industry to establish the "Jiangsu Laundry and Dyeing Accident Rescue Center." The difficult rescue work is personally overseen by Zhang Caogui, a senior expert with many years of experience, manager of "Nanjing Heping Laundry," director of the provincial laundry rescue center, and deputy director of the provincial laundry technical quality professional committee. This has helped laundry accident enterprises recover economic losses and has been highly praised by companies.
Experts in Jiangsu's laundry and dyeing industry have not rested on their laurels. Following the spirit of the Ministry of Commerce's "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Development of the Laundry and Dyeing Industry" and under the guidance of the "China Laundry and Dyeing Committee," the "Jiangsu Laundry Technical Quality Professional Committee" has led senior experts in the industry to conduct research and development on more advanced projects. They have traveled extensively, consulting and learning from peers in other provinces and cities. Facing the market reality that more people are using high-end luxury goods and wearing various fur garments continuously... this is the Chinese public investing heavily in the laundry industry operators, testing whether we have the ability to extract this gold and silver.
Members of the professional committee and rescue center are determined to research and develop this project. Based on the performance characteristics of fur and luxury goods, they conducted repeated experiments on dyeing, recoloring, printing, fading, and restoring yellowed white mink fur garments over two years. As the saying goes, hard work pays off. Problems such as shedding, brittle hair, shrinkage, hardening of the leather backing, and poor color fastness after dyeing fur have all been overcome, especially color fastness. Neither dry cleaning nor washing causes fading. The yellowing of fur, which even fur factories could not solve, was conquered by the Jiangsu Rescue Center. All raw materials required for these processes were independently developed and produced. After multiple trials by designated enterprises of the "Technical Quality Professional Committee of Jiangsu Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association," it was proven to be unique and a mature product. It is currently in use in the Nanjing market, and laundry peers in Nanjing have requested training upon learning this information.
The depth of the Yangtze River's water and the weight of the market's gold mean that a single flower does not make a brocade; a myriad of colors is more beautiful. We also intend to promote this technology to peers nationwide. Since our production conditions are still at an early stage, it is not suitable to accept too many trainees at once. Each session can only accommodate 10 people and guarantees full teaching and learning. Trainees need not worry about the short training time; if problems arise during future practical operations, we will also provide assistance and take full responsibility.
China is a major consumer of luxury goods worldwide, with an increasing number of domestic luxury items. However, the technology for maintaining and caring for luxury goods is still uneven, and not everyone can properly care for luxury goods worth tens of thousands of yuan.
First, one must be able to identify the goods—whether they are genuine or counterfeit and how to distinguish them. Secondly, understanding their performance characteristics is essential—whether the surface is fabric or leather, which washing and care methods are suitable, and especially what kind of chemicals to use. Mr. Sun Yongzhao, general manager of Nanjing "Lvyun High-end Luxury Goods Care Center" and deputy director of the "Technical Quality Professional Committee of Jiangsu Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association," has unique ideas. Through years of hard work, he has developed more than a dozen chain stores nationwide, with thriving business. With the changing times, General Manager Sun has also broken traditional conservative views and is willing to exchange ideas with peers.
The saying "Peers are enemies" no longer exists in Jiangsu's laundry and dyeing industry. We are willing to exchange Jiangsu's technology with peers nationwide. The exchange process is also a way for us to learn further from everyone, complementing each other's strengths.
Laundry industry peers, the current laundry market is no longer a single market of washing and ironing. It should be a diversified market integrating laundry, fur dyeing, luxury goods care, clothing, and laundry accident rescue. The Jiangsu Laundry and Dyeing Association is willing to recommend ways to make money by mining gold and silver to peers nationwide. The market is silver, competition is opportunity, and we must firmly grasp this opportunity. We cannot just watch the shiny silver pass before our eyes; we must use genuine skills to bring the real gold and silver of the market into the pockets of laundry workers.
