The Third Session of the First Council of the Dalian Association Held

On the afternoon of January 27, 2010, at 3 PM, the third meeting of the first council of the Dalian Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association and the New Year networking event for the laundry and dyeing industry were held at Bohai Pearl Hotel. In addition to the heads of the eleven council units of the Laundry and Dyeing Association, nearly 40 people from several laundry units with considerable development potential in Dalian's laundry industry were also invited.
Wang Jidong, Secretary-General of the Dalian Industry Association, presided over the meeting and extended New Year greetings to industry peers on behalf of the association.
The main content of the meeting was:
1. Explanation of the financial income and expenditure situation in 2009;
2. Work report for 2009;
3. Agreement on the 2010 association work plan.
Secretary-General Wang gave the 2009 work report and invited attendees to discuss the association's work content for 2010. The association's work should focus on certain factors restricting the current industry's development and be formulated to break through the industry's development bottlenecks.
The meeting agreed that the 2010 work would start from the following aspects:
1. Provide laundry accident appraisal services. As one of the association's service items, appraisal services will be free for members and a certain appraisal service fee will be charged for non-members, with standards to be determined separately;
2. Introduce new laundry quality standards and grading store evaluation standards, so that laundry disputes have clear rules to follow, providing a basis for consumers and laundry shops to resolve laundry problems;
3. Strengthen job training for technical personnel and establish a personnel mobility mechanism to improve the overall quality of industry personnel;
4. Establish a Dalian Laundry and Dyeing Industry Technical Expert Group to provide laundry technical consultation for various units;
5. Establish Dalian's own "Laundry and Dyeing Festival" to gradually raise public awareness of the laundry and dyeing industry and the labor of those in the industry, and use the festival to carry out some public welfare activities to promote the laundry and dyeing industry.
At the end of the meeting, President Xu Manli gave an outlook on the prospects of the industry association. She said that as a new social organization, the industry association plays an increasingly important role in economic development. The association will also adhere to the purpose of "serving members," expanding service areas based on laundry accident appraisal and technical exchanges, and becoming a home for members through multi-channel and multi-level services.
Despite the impact of the global economic crisis, we must still implement the government's policies of "ensuring growth, ensuring people's livelihood, and ensuring stability." The laundry and dyeing industry can not only promote economic growth but also provide various job opportunities due to its large development space, helping to solve employment issues in society. We hope more and more people will understand and enter the laundry and dyeing industry to promote the development of our industry. We will also do our best to build the laundry and dyeing industry into a professional industry that provides high-quality services to consumers.
