The "Design Specification for Public Textile Washing Factories" (T/CGCC 44-2020) group standard was issued by the China General Chamber of Commerce and will be officially implemented on September 1, 2020. This standard is drafted jointly by the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, Jiangsu Haishi Machinery Group Co., Ltd., and Laian Changxing Textile and Apparel Co., Ltd., based on new trends in the development of China's laundry industry and the current status of public textile washing service operations. The standard is formulated on the basis of extensive and in-depth research, summarizing practical experience in the design of public textile washing factories across various regions, referencing relevant industry standards, absorbing advanced foreign laundry operation concepts, and combining the current situation and characteristics of China's laundry industry.
The standard specifies the environmental protection engineering design and basic requirements for daily production of public textile washing factories. It applies to the environmental protection engineering design of new, renovated, expanded, and relocated public textile washing factory construction projects, as well as the daily production requirements of normally operating public textile washing factories. The main technical content includes: factory safety design requirements, process design, electrical requirements, HVAC requirements, power requirements, etc.
The standard will help regulate the engineering design of public textile washing factories, implement technical measures for environmental protection requirements, improve the level of environmental protection engineering design, promote industrial pollution prevention, resource comprehensive utilization, and clean production, and also provide a basis for government departments to supervise the quality and environmental protection of laundry enterprises.
