To promote face-to-face communication and development in the domestic and international laundry industry, the "China Laundry Exhibition" will return to the Shanghai New International Expo Center from September 25 to 27, 2023. The gradually relaxed epidemic prevention policies and stable market growth will benefit exhibitors gathering together to establish business connections with customers and industry professionals. The 2023 exhibition is expected to cover an area of 25,000 square meters, attracting about 300 domestic and international companies and 20,000 professional visitors to participate in the grand event.
Despite the impact of the pandemic, the laundry and dyeing industry continues to show strong momentum. In 2021, the global commercial laundry and service market was valued at approximately 72 billion USD, and it is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.2% by 2026. This forecast will benefit the future development of commercial laundry equipment suppliers, with the market's CAGR expected to reach 6.6%, and the total growth amounting to 6.4 billion USD by 2027.
According to statistics, in 2021, the number of operating laundry lines in China reached 1,149, a year-on-year increase of 23%, showing an upward trend for seven consecutive years, with a localization rate of 83.9%. In 2021, China's medium and large-scale public textile laundry factories purchased over 520 sets of complete finishing equipment (spreading machines, ironing machines, folding machines). Currently, the total number of complete finishing equipment sets in operation exceeds 2,000.
After three years of pandemic challenges, China's laundry and dyeing industry is entering a stage of integrated development. The original pattern may be broken through, and with further market potential development, the industry is bound to usher in a spring of high-quality development. "Standardization, scale, specialization, and digital intelligence" will become the four major trends in industry development.
As an important industry event in Asia, the China Laundry Exhibition showcases the huge business opportunities contained in the entire industry chain. The exhibition content includes laundry equipment, systems and accessories, laundry chemicals and consumables, information and intelligent products, energy-saving and environmental protection equipment, leather care products, rental laundry services, etc., providing a one-stop comprehensive service platform for win-win sharing, interaction, and business cooperation among upstream and downstream enterprises in the domestic and international laundry industry and related industries.
The China Laundry Exhibition is held annually and is jointly organized by the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, the China Light Industry Machinery Association, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Xinzhilian Exhibition Services Co., Ltd.
