At the end of December 2022, the China Commercial Federation's Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee held the first training class for the laundry industry titled "Public Textile Laundry Care Specialist." During the study period, most students experienced the peak of infections following the lifting of pandemic controls, but the students of the first training class persisted in their studies and successfully completed all online courses and assessments. Nearly 60 people completed the training and assessment and obtained the "Public Textile Laundry Care Specialist" professional competency training certificate.

This Public Textile Laundry Care Specialist training is divided into two main course parts based on the characteristics of the public textile laundry field: medical textile laundry care and ordinary public textile laundry care, allowing students to choose courses more aligned with their work needs.
The courses invited several well-known industry experts and corporate technical specialists to carefully design the content. The two parts of the course cover the entire textile laundry industry chain according to their respective laundry characteristics, including textile collection, sorting, logistics distribution and storage, laundry processes, stain removal techniques, use and maintenance of laundry equipment, textile finishing, as well as safety production and self-protection for practitioners. The total duration is over 1200 minutes, systematically explaining the professional knowledge that public textile laundry care specialists should possess.
It is believed that the development and improvement of this specialized training course for the public textile laundry field will better improve the training efficiency of public textile laundry practitioners, promote the enhancement of professional capabilities of talents in public textile laundry enterprises, and solve industry problems such as high talent turnover, unsystematic training, and low certification rates. It aims to achieve customized training matching personnel to positions and promote the healthy, sustainable, and steady development of the laundry and dyeing industry.
