Regarding the Organization of the First Leather Care Technician Industry Skills
Certification and Assessment Notice
To all member units of the Washing and Dyeing Professional Committee, local washing and dyeing industry associations, and related enterprises and institutions in the washing and dyeing industry:
The 2022 latest version of the "Occupational Classification Dictionary of the People's Republic of China" has officially renamed the washing and dyeing industry occupation "Leather Care Worker" to "Leather Care Technician." To align with the latest renamed occupational title in the classification dictionary, the China Commercial Federation will simultaneously revise the occupational title of the original "Leather Care Worker" Industry Skills Certificate to "Leather Care Technician." The first "Leather Care Technician" certification and assessment will be held concurrently with the "2nd China High-end Garment Care Forum and Leather Care Series Activities" from May 16 to 19. The specific matters are as follows:
1. Participants
Personnel engaged in leather care-related work who intend to obtain the Industry Skills Certificate for Leather Care Technician issued by the China Commercial Federation by participating in the corresponding level of industry skills certification and assessment activities.
2. Application Conditions
Applicants must apply for the corresponding level based on their personal conditions. The specific application conditions are as follows:
1. Junior Level (meeting one of the following conditions)
(1) Completed the prescribed standard hours of formal junior training in this occupation and obtained a completion certificate.
(2) Have continuously worked as an intern in this occupation for more than 2 years.
(3) Completed the apprenticeship period in this occupation.
2. Intermediate Level (meeting one of the following conditions)
(1) After obtaining the junior industry skills certificate in this occupation, have continuously worked in this occupation for more than 3 years, completed the prescribed standard hours of formal intermediate training, and obtained a completion certificate.
(2) After obtaining the junior industry skills certificate in this occupation, have continuously worked in this occupation for more than 5 years.
(3) Have continuously worked in this occupation for more than 7 years.
3. Senior Level (meeting one of the following conditions)
(1) After obtaining the intermediate industry skills certificate in this occupation, have continuously worked in this occupation for more than 4 years, completed the prescribed standard hours of formal senior training, and obtained a completion certificate.
(2) After obtaining the intermediate industry skills certificate in this occupation, have continuously worked in this occupation for more than 6 years.
4. Technician Level (meeting one of the following conditions)
(1) After obtaining the senior industry skills certificate in this occupation, have continuously worked in this occupation for more than 5 years, completed the prescribed standard hours of formal technician training, and obtained a completion certificate.
(2) After obtaining the senior industry skills certificate in this occupation, have continuously worked in this occupation for more than 7 years.
5. Senior Technician Level (meeting one of the following conditions)
(1) After obtaining the technician industry skills certificate in this occupation, have continuously worked in this occupation for more than 3 years, completed the prescribed standard hours of formal senior technician training, and obtained a completion certificate.
(2) After obtaining the technician industry skills certificate in this occupation, have continuously worked in this occupation for more than 5 years.
3. Registration Method
1. Applicants for certification and assessment should fill out the electronic version of the "Industry Skills Assessment and Certification Application Form for the Commercial Service Industry" (see attachment), and send it along with a 2-inch blue background electronic ID photo (named with the student's ID number in JPG format, within 500KB) to the email: 471026805@qq.com before April 30.
2. Registration on May 16.
4. Assessment Method
The assessment is scored out of 100 points, consisting of an online theoretical exam and an offline practical exam. Candidates must score 60 or above in both parts to pass. Applicants for technician and senior technician levels must also submit a technical paper as required.
Qualified candidates who pass the assessment will be awarded the corresponding level of Leather Care Technician Industry Skills Certificate.
5. Time and Place
Time: Full-day training on the 17th (registration on May 16).
Registration Location: Beijing Xingji Pullman Hotel (Address: No. 12 Xingrong South Road, Daxing District, Beijing; Hotel phone: 010-87228888)
Theoretical Exam Time and Location: Complete the theoretical exam on the Washing and Dyeing Committee's online training platform before May 10.
Practical Exam Time and Location: May 18, Washing and Dyeing Industry Beijing Tianrun Training Base (No. 7 Chuangye Street, Qingyundian Industrial Zone, Daxing District)
6. Fee Standards
Training and certification fees for junior, intermediate, and senior levels: 1800 RMB/person for members, 2200 RMB/person for non-members; technician and senior technician training and certification fees: 2100 RMB/person for members, 2500 RMB/person for non-members (including qualification to attend the "2nd China High-end Garment and Luxury Leather Care Technology Exchange Demonstration Conference," conference and exam materials, assessment and certification fees, lunch and dinner on the 17th, and lunch on the 18th). Accommodation fees are self-paid.
For those needing accommodation, the conference team can assist with booking. Rooms are limited, please book in advance.
