At 9 a.m. on February 10, Tiantian Laundry officially opened its nearly one hundred stores in Guangzhou to customers, fully resuming operations.
During the offline store closure period
Proactively assuming corporate social responsibility
Previously, Tiantian Laundry told the media during the pandemic: due to the impact of the pandemic, employees could not return to work on time. Coupled with multiple factors during epidemic prevention and control, Tiantian had to temporarily close offline stores, only retaining some B-end group customers and online ordering with courier pick-up services. More than 100 stores suffered daily losses of tens of thousands of yuan in revenue due to high rent and other reasons, with losses exceeding 10 million yuan compared to the same period last year.
According to Tiantian Laundry's Marketing Director Zou Yongbo, during the offline store closure period, Tiantian's B-end group order business and online business teams proactively took on the company's social responsibility by providing free uniform cleaning and mask sterilization services for public security, prosecution, and law enforcement departments fighting on the front line of epidemic prevention in Guangzhou. Before full resumption, Tiantian Laundry's production workshop had started work more than a week in advance. Employees, under special protection, provided free services for epidemic prevention. As of February 10, Tiantian Laundry had disinfected nearly one million masks for frontline epidemic workers using ultraviolet and ozone sterilization. At the same time, they provided free washing and sterilization for the clothing of frontline epidemic personnel.
After resuming work
The number of customers requesting home pick-up service for clothes increased significantly
During the Spring Festival, Guangzhou launched 15 measures to support the healthy development of small and micro enterprises in winning the battle against epidemic prevention and control. Based on these measures, Tiantian Laundry fully resumed work and production and imposed strict prevention and control requirements on returning employees, screening all staff, prohibiting employees from epidemic areas from returning to work recently, and requiring local Guangzhou employees to complete 14 days of quarantine before returning to work.
On the day of resumption, stores reported a significant increase in customers requesting home pick-up services. Shortly after resumption, hundreds of customers came to stores to send laundry. By 3:30 p.m. on the 10th, the stores had provided more than twenty home pick-up services, while customers ordering online with SF Express pick-up exceeded two hundred, with business performing better than expected.
Tiantian Laundry employees told reporters: during the epidemic, many residents were afraid to go out to shop, but had many clothes needing cleaning and disinfection at home, so they requested home pick-up services. After disinfecting paired delivery boxes and special laundry bags, employees wore professional protective gloves before going to pick up clothes at customers' homes.
Professional disinfection and sterilization of personal clothing is a necessary way to block infection. To ensure employees protect themselves during production, Tiantian Laundry implemented dual measures for epidemic prevention and store operation. Upon resumption, "Level 1 Protection" was immediately activated, with regular disinfection and sterilization of workshops, requiring all employees to measure body temperature before work, disinfect store areas regularly, wash hands frequently, and wear disposable masks; each worker entering the workshop must undergo ozone sterilization on their body; after work, work clothes receive professional washing and sterilization. All customers entering stores must wear masks and have their temperature measured at the entrance; only those with normal temperature are allowed in.

More professional epidemic prevention
At 3 p.m. on the 10th, the intelligent laundry central factory workshop of Tiantian Laundry in Xian Village, Zengcheng, was brightly lit with machines roaring. Worker Zhong Lili and several colleagues wore masks and busily worked in front of a row of dry cleaning machines. They selected different machines, solvents, and washing methods according to different fabric types to ensure no damage to clothing products and deliver sterilization effects meeting food-grade safety standards.
At the site of the world's largest intelligent laundry central factory invested nearly 400 million yuan by Tiantian Laundry, the supporting bacteria testing center can monitor the entire clothing cleaning process in real time. Clothes entering the workshop undergo 16 professional washing procedures. High-tech atomized disinfection ensures at least five layers of sterilization, with special professional laundry procedures ensuring complete disinfection and sterilization.
In response to this epidemic, Tiantian Laundry also specially launched a laundry disinfection dedicated line, adding professional detergents and dry cleaning solvents in the cleaning process, which not only have sterilization and disinfection functions but also greatly inhibit bacterial growth. Cleaning and sterilization are done in one step, with a sterilization rate of up to 99.99% after washing.
Additionally, Tiantian Laundry uses imported sterilization shaping tunnel machines and multifunctional ironing machines, which not only restore clothes to crispness and comfort but also achieve high-temperature sterilization at 150°C~160°C steam temperature to prevent the risk of novel coronavirus infection.
Targeting bacteria and mold characteristics, Tiantian Laundry also provides three-dimensional disinfection and sterilization laundry services, using ozone and ultraviolet sterilization to comprehensively block virus and mold transmission paths. Through multiple professional sterilization and disinfection processes including entry disinfection, disinfectant washing, high-temperature drying, high-temperature shaping sterilization, and high-temperature ironing, the vast majority of bacteria and viruses carried by clothes are effectively disinfected and sterilized.

In Zou Yongbo's view, Tiantian, as a company focused on laundry for nearly thirty years, is very professional in clothing washing, care, and disinfection, and can be called a "clothing virus and bacteria nemesis." Although the epidemic caused great losses to the company, he believes that at this stage "confidence is more important than gold." Tiantian Laundry officially launched internet laundry and home pick-up and delivery services, allowing citizens to place orders through the "Tiantian Laundry" WeChat public account or by calling the attached stores to enjoy professional home pick-up and delivery services.
Tiantian Laundry Chairman Lu Zhiji analyzed that in recent years, Tiantian Laundry has been promoting store digitalization and internet e-commerce business. After the epidemic, consumers pay more attention to personal hygiene and health safety, and their demand for clothing washing and disinfection has become stronger. From this perspective, the laundry and disinfection daily chemical industries may soon usher in a spring.
To attract customers, Tiantian Laundry has also launched a door-to-door clothes collection service within a 3-kilometer radius around the store. As long as customers call the Tiantian Laundry service hotline or the store, Tiantian Laundry will arrange personnel to provide pick-up and delivery services promptly. After resuming work, a series of support measures introduced by government departments, such as postponing employee insurance payment deadlines and rent reductions, can help enterprises reasonably manage cash flow to a certain extent and better invest in various tasks related to resuming work and production. Tiantian Laundry is also confident in leveraging all internet means to maintain old customers, expand new customers, and make full use of digital operation methods to strive for counter-trend growth.
