According to reports, at 16:20 on January 11, a steam pipe in the ironing workshop of a property service company’s laundry room at the People's Hospital of Yuping County, Guizhou Province, exploded, resulting in 4 deaths and 2 injuries. Local firefighters immediately rushed to the scene after receiving the alarm.
Upon arrival, firefighters immediately established a perimeter at the scene. According to informed sources, the explosion occurred in the steam pipe of the ironing workshop on the first floor of the hospital's support building, belonging to a property service company. The gas inside the pipe was steam. At that time, the scene was chaotic, with windows blown out by the blast and equipment scattered all over the floor.
Based on the situation at the scene and after confirming there was no danger, the commander led the search and rescue team deep into the explosion site. After about 15 minutes of searching, five trapped individuals were found, but one person was still missing. Subsequently, firefighters expanded the search area and efforts, and at 17:15, the last victim was found.
