From August 6 to 8, Dow Chemical, the world's largest producer of perchloroethylene, showcased its dry-cleaning grade perchloroethylene at the Beijing Laundry Exhibition, demonstrating its over half a century of rich experience in dry cleaning and fabric treatment applications, while attracting the attention and inquiries of many professional visitors, achieving a satisfactory exhibition result.

Dow Chemical's DOWPER™ dry-cleaning grade perchloroethylene developed for the dry cleaning industry is non-flammable; it can quickly dissolve almost all organic substances in dirty clothes, including oil stains, grease, fats, and waxes; compared to other dry cleaning agents, it is easier to recover and restore to a clean state, and can be repeatedly recycled in modern dry cleaning machines. DOWPER™ dry-cleaning grade perchloroethylene is specially developed for dry cleaning applications and performs significantly better in dry cleaning than industrial-grade perchloroethylene. Industrial-grade perchloroethylene is generally used for chemical processing; its acidity may corrode dry cleaning machines, affecting the machine's service life and the recovery ability of the dry cleaning agent, and may also adversely affect the clothes being dry cleaned. DOWPER™ dry-cleaning grade perchloroethylene has passed ASTM D4081 testing and is recognized by the International Fabricare Institute (IFI).
