On September 27, the unprecedented 2019 First China Laundry and Dyeing Industry Conference concluded with many highlights. The conference gathered multiple exciting events including the "2019 World Laundry and Dyeing Industry Summit Forum," the "2019 China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee Members' Meeting," the "Laundry and Dyeing Family Reception Dinner," and the "11th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition," with over a thousand participants joining this grand industry event.

On September 25, the "11th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition" successfully commenced at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Ms. Feng Jinna, full-time Deputy Secretary-General of the China Laundry and Dyeing Committee, presided over the opening ceremony and introduced the competition details.
This competition saw over 200 contestants successfully registered from provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Hong Kong, Hunan, Shandong, Fujian, Hebei, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Liaoning, Shenzhen, Guangxi, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Hubei, and Shanxi. Ultimately, 192 contestants actually participated, marking the highest number of participants in the history of the event.
Mr. Dai Jie, President of the Shanghai Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association, expressed in his enthusiastic speech the recognition and active participation attitude of the Shanghai Laundry Association and industry colleagues towards the competition, as well as a warm welcome to associations and contestants from various regions.
The "National Technical Expert" is the highest honor for technical talents in China. At this opening ceremony, awards were first presented to the winners of the previous "National Technical Expert" title, jointly witnessing the glorious moments of the winners of the 2017 10th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition!
This competition included six events: the "Zhengzhang Cup" Front Desk Service, the "Sunlight Cup" Stain Removal, the "Safiya Cup" Leather Care, the "Hanno Cup" Shoe Care, the "Weishi Cup" Garment Ironing, and the "Jiexiya Cup" Clothing Mending Skills Competition. The China Laundry and Dyeing Committee awarded honorary naming plaques to six units that strongly supported the competition.
The designated products for the competition were selected from many excellent domestic and international companies, providing professional assurance for the competition with their reliable quality. The China Laundry and Dyeing Committee awarded designated product plaques to seven units that provided equipment and chemical materials support for the competition.
Representatives of the competition judges, Lu Ping, and contestant representative Lin Yuzhi solemnly promised at the opening ceremony to uphold the principles of fairness, justice, and openness in the competition and to compete with genuine skill levels.
The China Commercial Federation has always regarded this event as a key task. President Jiang Ming personally attended the competition site and delivered the opening speech.

The competition activities proceeded in an orderly manner amid intense skill contests. Contestants and judges followed the competition rules for six major events: theoretical exam → contestant draw for preparation → practical competition.

In the practical segments, contestants each demonstrated their unique skills, and the technical reviews by judges and experts were highlights that greatly benefited the contestants. The competition is not only a selection contest for technical talents in the laundry and dyeing industry but also a training and dissemination platform for skilled talents and excellent techniques.
After three days of skill competition, contestants showcased their outstanding abilities, and the judges and competition organizing committee promptly compiled and selected the list of winners for each final event.
On the morning of September 27, the closing ceremony and awards ceremony were grandly held. Director Pan Wei of the China Laundry and Dyeing Committee sincerely thanked the enterprises and entrepreneurs who supported and helped various activities of the conference, and presented Outstanding Organization Awards to associations and enterprises that made outstanding contributions to this competition.
A grand awards ceremony was held during the closing ceremony. Awards were presented to the winners of the National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Technical Expert title in this competition; to the top three contestants in the "Zhengzhang Cup" Front Desk Service, "Sunlight Cup" Stain Removal, "Safiya Cup" Leather Care, "Hanno Cup" Shoe Care, "Weishi Cup" Garment Ironing, and "Jiexiya Cup" Clothing Mending events; and "Talent Training Contribution Award" plaques and certificates were presented to the sending units of the first-place winners in the six major events.
The 11th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition has successfully concluded. It aims to promote the spirit of craftsmanship striving for excellence, help outstanding skilled talents stand out, showcase the unique skills of talents from multiple perspectives and dimensions, and promote the reform of talent training models. We will reunite again in 2021!
