The "2020 China Laundry Exhibition" successfully concluded on October 16, 2020, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. As the only large-scale global event in the laundry and dyeing industry this year, it attracted 122 exhibiting companies and welcomed 14,413 visitors. Due to the impact of the pandemic, the exhibition area and the total number of exhibitors decreased this year, but the venue was crowded and lively, with continuous contract signings. The successful holding of this exhibition proves that under the normalized pandemic situation, professional exhibitions and related professional activities are effective models to restore industry confidence and expand enterprise markets.
Looking back at the wonderful moments of the exhibition, we look forward to the post-pandemic revival of the laundry and dyeing community. Unite our efforts, forge ahead, prepare our equipment, and set off again to create a bright future for the laundry and dyeing industry.
Director Pan Wei of the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce delivered a welcome speech, as follows:
"In the golden late autumn, the '2020 China Laundry Exhibition' arrived as scheduled. Affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, as the only global laundry industry exhibition this year, it has received widespread attention from the domestic and international laundry industry. Here, we warmly welcome and sincerely thank all colleagues from the Chinese and foreign laundry industry who participated in this exhibition!
The sudden pandemic has had a great impact on the laundry industry, but our industry enterprises have withstood the test and demonstrated a respectable sense of social responsibility, with ordinary positions and extraordinary contributions. The pandemic has further triggered our deep reflection on industry management, service quality, laundry equipment, and future development directions. The '2020 China Laundry Exhibition' aims to pursue quality and diversification, providing an important communication and display platform for industry colleagues in the post-pandemic period.
The Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce is a national association organization for the Chinese laundry industry. Organizing industry-related exhibitions and display activities is an important part of our work. 'Scientific washing, green washing, and honest service' is the industry development philosophy we advocate; 'Gathering the world's most advanced concepts and technologies in the laundry industry to make our homeland's sky bluer, water clearer, and clothes cleaner' is our work goal. According to the "China Laundry Industry Development Report-2019," in 2019, the turnover of laundry services reached 127.8 billion yuan. Among them, the updating and iteration of washing equipment, chemicals, and auxiliary materials production technology have integrated with the rapid development of Chinese laundry enterprises, jointly realizing the industry's standardization, scale, automation, and intelligence. Hosting high-quality exhibitions and conferences is an important platform for showcasing and exchanging new products and technologies, reflecting our philosophy and mission, and serving as an important window for the Chinese laundry industry to the world.
The achievements in fighting the pandemic are hard-earned, and moments of gathering are especially precious.
