Laundry worker Chen Aihua honored with the title of "National Model Worker"

On November 24th, the 2020 National Model Workers and Advanced Workers Commendation Conference was grandly held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the capital. National model workers and advanced workers from all over the country were commended. Chen Aihua, Technical Director of Shanghai Zhengzhang Industry, as a representative of the laundry and dyeing industry, was honored with the title of "National Model Worker" at this commendation conference.
The laundry and dyeing industry provides clothing cleaning and textile cleaning services for the public, hotels, and hospitals, continuously striving to improve people's quality of life and promote economic prosperity. They work hard to expand service areas, committed to providing the highest quality and most convenient services, continuously refining washing technology, enduring hardships, improving quality and efficiency. During the critical period of epidemic prevention, they were the frontline warriors closest to the service industry, sacrificing their own families for the greater good, providing the most solid logistical cleanliness support for medical staff and patients. Chen Aihua has been in the industry for 24 years. As a "post-70s" professional, she is one of the few senior technicians skilled in two trades within the industry. She is the Deputy Secretary-General of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association, an expert in the Chinese laundry and dyeing industry, a national-level judge for laundry and dyeing vocational skills competitions, and a senior evaluator. As the Technical Director of Zhengzhang Laundry, hundreds and thousands of garments are "reborn" under Chen Aihua's skillful hands. The washing team led by Chen Aihua has created a record of "zero accidents" in task guarantees, with a garment rescue rate as high as 98%. They have provided clothing care services for guests at multiple national pavilions during the World Expo and ironed national flags for participating countries at the 2014 APEC Summit, receiving unanimous praise for China's washing standards both domestically and internationally.
Chen Aihua's studio team, through research and innovation, has established a new image of "Shanghai Washing," successively developing more than a dozen washing processes including leather suede repair, towel washing, perchloroethylene double-bath method, special garment drying, and aniline leather repair; they have developed over 40 customized washing auxiliaries for different fabric textures. In service innovation, they launched a studio WeChat platform for Q&A, clothing care introductions, expert consultation services, and on-site laundry platform services. They also edited textbooks and question banks, restoring the senior technician qualification assessment for laundry workers, which had been suspended for 23 years in the industry.
