Recently, the China Commercial Federation's Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee has received multiple reports from member units indicating that the Italian clothing brand VERSACE has a very high incidence of accidents after washing according to the label. After extensive communication, verification, and testing by the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee, it has been confirmed that this garment indeed carries a high risk during normal washing, with a high danger factor and difficulty in restoration after damage. Laundry shops must exercise extra caution when receiving and washing it.
Clothing Name: VERSACE Velvet Sports Suit
Fabric: 78% Cotton, 22% Polyamide Fiber
Lining: 100% Polyamide Fiber
Decoration: Leather
Washing Label: Do not wash with water, petroleum dry clean only
Accident Phenomenon: After petroleum dry cleaning, severe color transfer and bleeding occur, resulting in an overall dull color.
Accident Analysis: 1. The zipper and pockets are made of black leather, and the back features a double-layer leather portrait with a textured effect (the bottom is black suede leather, the top is black glossy leather). Due to poor color fastness and low solvent resistance of suede and glossy leather, petroleum dry cleaning inevitably causes color fading, leading to color transfer and bleeding accidents. After washing, the garment is spun at high speed, and the centrifugal force causes a large amount of leather decoration color to fall off and stain the clothing.
2. The washing label on this garment indicates: caution with petroleum dry cleaning, which usually means washing at low temperature for 5 minutes. Even under these conditions, color transfer, bleeding, and dullness still occur.
3. Using perchloroethylene dry cleaning also results in color transfer, bleeding, and dullness accidents.
4. Washing with water increases the likelihood of bleeding, color transfer, and rough texture accidents.
Difficulty of Restoration:
(1) This garment's color transfer, bleeding, and rough texture accidents can be repaired through restoration,
but the difficulty is very high.
(2) After restoration, the garment's gloss is not as bright as before.
(3) The restoration process takes about 7 days.
Warning Level: ★★★★★ (Highest Level)
The difficulty of washing and restoring this garment is very high. If you do not have a small-capacity petroleum dry cleaning machine and rich experience in special garment washing and restoration, please be cautious when accepting and washing it.
