On May 27, 2019, according to the unified deployment of the Ministry of Commerce's statistics work on trade and circulation industries, the Service Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce held a work meeting on "Industry Data Statistics and Development Research" in Beijing. The main leaders and staff from associations of eight major residential life service industries including laundry, hotels, bathing, and cooking attended the meeting. Director Pan Wei of the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce participated in the meeting.
The meeting made specific arrangements for the data review, statistics, and development report writing work of the trade and circulation industry, and carried out active discussions. The meeting pointed out that the focus of this work is to provide effective data and research results for scientifically predicting industry development trends, objectively analyzing existing problems, and accurately grasping the direction of industry development. 
Since 2012, the China Laundry Committee has been entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce to conduct data statistics and research on the laundry industry and to write the "China Laundry Industry Development Report." For this survey and statistical work, the China Laundry Committee will, according to the Ministry of Commerce's requirements, strive to play the association's bridging role, adhere to the service purpose, and conscientiously complete the data review, measurement, and analysis work with high quality, reporting accurate industry conditions to the Ministry of Commerce. 
To better showcase the development of the laundry industry in 2018, make the development report benefit more institutions and enterprises, and fully display the style of the laundry industry, the China Laundry Committee has launched a call for submissions of development situation manuscripts from local laundry industries and typical enterprises. Outstanding manuscripts will be selected and compiled into the "China Laundry Industry Development Report 2019" white paper, which is planned to be released during the "China Laundry Industry Conference" in September this year.
