The weather is getting colder, and the China Youth Development Foundation's Loving Wardrobe Fund has once again launched a campaign to collect winter clothes for remote high-altitude areas. Currently, the foundation has set up donation points at 27 Rongchang laundry stores across the city, hoping that families in the Beijing area can conveniently donate clean, unused winter clothes.
In October last year, the "Loving Wardrobe Fund" launched a project to donate unused clothing, sending individually packaged and disinfected winter clothes to the Liangshan region of Sichuan, bringing warmth to the local impoverished population. This year, the "Loving Wardrobe Fund" has initiated this activity again. Caring citizens in Beijing can clean down jackets, cotton-padded coats, and other winter clothing and donate them at any of the 27 nearby Rongchang Laundry stores. Specific addresses can be found on the Loving Wardrobe Weibo (@爱心衣橱) or by calling 010-84775910 for inquiries.
After receiving the clothes, volunteers from Loving Wardrobe and staff from Rongchang Laundry will register and sort them, then uniformly disinfect and bag the clothes before transporting them to the areas in need. Finally, the county youth league committees arrange distribution by village units and provide distribution information and photos back to Loving Wardrobe. Loving Wardrobe will display the entire process on Weibo and its official website. According to Qiao Ying, Executive Director of the "Loving Wardrobe" Fund, this year’s donation event will last two weeks. Interested individuals can follow the Loving Wardrobe Sina Weibo (@爱心衣橱), WeChat public account (aixinyichu2011), and Douban charity station to learn about the event progress and sign up to volunteer.
