Good morning, everyone!
The 2nd Beijing China International Laundry Festival grandly opens today. The Beijing National Convention Center gathers experts and industry elites from the global laundry industry to jointly participate in the 3rd China International Laundry Industry Summit Forum hosted by the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, to discuss major issues on the "efficient, fast, scientific, and environmentally friendly" development of the laundry industry. First, on behalf of the China General Chamber of Commerce, I warmly welcome and sincerely greet all guests who work hard in the laundry industry!
The 3rd China International Laundry Industry Summit Forum is a high-end dialogue for the international laundry industry. It is a rare opportunity for technical exchange and learning in the international laundry industry. Experts, scholars, and senior executives gather in Beijing to deeply discuss and explore the opportunities and challenges faced by the current laundry industry development, the application of new technologies, the promotion of new service concepts, and new industry development trends. They share new theoretical achievements and practical experiences with everyone, enabling laundry professionals to have broader horizons, clearer thinking, more precise services, better skills, and more scientific management on their path forward.
Dear guests: "Clothing, food, housing, and transportation" are the basic needs of our lives. On the road to a well-off society for 1.3 billion Chinese people, it is no longer a "household triviality" in traditional life but a major "livelihood" issue closely related to everyone's quality of life. The modernization of the laundry industry has become an important part of our modern life service industry. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the construction of livelihood infrastructure and the growth and strengthening of the service industry, including the laundry industry. In recent years, many policies have been introduced to accelerate the development of the service industry. In the first half of this year, China's tertiary industry, i.e., the service industry, completed a value-added of 11,235 billion yuan, an increase of 8.3% over the same period last year, faster than the primary industry's growth of 3.0% and the secondary industry's growth of 7.6%, accounting for 45.3% of the GDP. According to this development trend, the service industry will become the largest industrial support for China's policy of expanding domestic demand and the most important force to stabilize economic growth.
Since the reform and opening up, the modern laundry service industry has grown rapidly and is a service industry with great potential and broad prospects. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Commerce, since the launch of the national high-quality service activities for the commercial service industry in 2012, the Laundry Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce has carried out themed activities such as badge wearing, vocational skills competitions, service skills exchanges, consumer interactions, and promotion of excellent service and typical deeds according to its characteristics and actual situation. These have played an active role in promoting the overall improvement of industry service levels. The "2nd Beijing International Laundry Festival" organized by the Laundry Professional Committee not only invited more than 20 internationally renowned laundry experts and colleagues from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan but also gathered over 300 participants from various regions, which is an important embodiment of efforts to promote high-quality service activities. They organized high-quality service activities under the theme "Laundry beautifies life, quality creates the future," including "learning standards, showcasing services, keeping promises, competing in skills, quality, and contribution, striving to create windows satisfying the public, quality service brands, and excellent service models." Their work is solid and impressive, with good social feedback. The China General Chamber of Commerce fully affirms the work of the Laundry Professional Committee and fully supports the committee's deeper work to strive to make the national laundry industry achieve more at this new historical starting point!
Dear guests: To consolidate the achievements made and better lead industry development, Director Wang Shuyai of the Laundry Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, on behalf of Chinese laundry industry colleagues, delivered the "White Paper" of the Chinese laundry industry for the first time on the podium of the International Laundry Industry Advanced Forum. This report is the result of cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce and the chamber of commerce organizations. It is an industry declaration of China's laundry industry facing the whole society, livelihood undertakings, and the "Chinese Dream"! The report uses data to illustrate the real situation of China's laundry industry development, combining the "Chinese Dream" with the laundry industry's "dream" to outline a bright future. I believe that to realize the laundry industry's "dream," it depends on every industry elite present here leading your teams unitedly, working hard, and pursuing excellence!

In the new era, you bring a beautiful industry to people's lives, and everyone working on this front line is a "messenger of beauty." Yesterday, you laid the foundation and achieved gratifying results for the rapid development of today's laundry industry. Tomorrow and the future still depend on your "hard work to prosper the nation" to jointly realize the "dream of the laundry industry."
