On August 6, 2013, the opening event of the 2nd China International Laundry Festival—the "3rd International Laundry Industry Summit Forum"—was grandly held at the National Convention Center in Beijing, attended by more than 300 entrepreneurs and experts from the global laundry industry.
1. Opening Ceremony and Main Forum Speeches—Gathering of Domestic and Foreign Laundry Industry Professionals and Discussion of Advanced Comprehensive Topics

Around 9 a.m., the opening ceremony began with a speech by Deputy Inspector Wang Huiying from the Service Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce. On-site bilingual translation in Chinese and English was provided to ensure smooth understanding for domestic and foreign guests. In the morning's main forum, five speakers gave detailed analyses on topics including innovation and sustainable development in the international professional textile care industry, overview and testing methods of functional textiles, professional washing quality certification, and application examples of new laundry label technologies. Ms. Wang Shuyuan, Director of the Laundry Committee of the China Chamber of Commerce, shared highlights from the "China Laundry Industry Development Report 2012" compiled from the committee's research. During the event, President Zhang Zhigang of the China Chamber of Commerce took time from his busy schedule to attend the summit forum, congratulating the festival and forum and offering prospects for the laundry industry's development. During the tea break, President Zhang met with domestic and international guests in the VIP room, encouraging foreign experts to promote innovation and development in domestic laundry technology and highly affirming the positive guiding role played by the Laundry Committee in China's laundry industry.

Subsequently, all attendees took a group photo on the viewing platform on the fourth floor of the National Convention Center.

2. Sub-Forum Sessions (Household Laundry; Public Textile Washing)—Detailed Technical Analysis at the Professional Level, Proposing Targeted Solutions to Existing Industry Problems One by One.

At 1:30 p.m., the "Household Laundry" sub-forum and the "Public Textile Washing" sub-forum were held simultaneously in adjacent conference rooms. Ten experts from China, Germany, Italy, and the United States gave presentations on topics including new detergents and wet cleaning technology applications, Chinese-style central laundry plants, innovations and developments in dry cleaning machines, prospects for self-service laundry, how Fornet addresses challenges of high rent and labor costs, equipment upgrades for laundry enterprises, innovations in washing and dry cleaning, public textile washing standards systems, differences between Chinese and European public textile washing, and optimization of central laundry plant production efficiency. Attendees listened attentively, taking careful notes on the industry data and theoretical experiences shared by the speakers, gaining substantial insights.
3. High-Level Dialogue (Household Laundry; Public Textile Washing)—Sharing Entrepreneurial Stories, Strengthening the Spirit of Struggle; Discussing Industry Experience, Establishing Industry Image.

As the afternoon high-level dialogue began, the summit forum gradually approached its conclusion. The high-level dialogue was divided into two venues: "Household Laundry" and "Public Textile Washing." Under the guidance of the host, eight well-known senior executives and expert representatives from China's laundry industry took the stage to discuss from multiple perspectives the problems and challenges faced by the Chinese laundry industry, as well as successes and lessons in business operations. The entire dialogue featured lively interaction between the stage and audience, continuous applause, and even as the session ended, participants were reluctant to leave, many going on stage to take photos and chat with the dialogue guests.
4. Brilliant Star Cocktail Dinner—Industry Stars Gather Together to Open a New Chapter for China's Laundry Industry and Strengthen International Cooperation for Mutual Benefit.

On the evening of August 6, attendees participated in the "3rd International Laundry Industry Summit Forum" Brilliant Star Night Cocktail Party. The cocktail party began around 6 p.m.: first, Ms. Wang Shuyuan, Mr. Peter Winneke, and Mr. Eric signed a letter of intent for the Asian environmental protection project on behalf of the China Laundry Committee, the International Textile Care Council, and the European Union, respectively. Then, awards for "Leading Star," "Distinguished Dialogue Guest," and "Charming Host" were presented to forum speakers, high-level dialogue guests, and hosts. Representatives from Hong Kong and Macau delivered speeches at the party, and finally, Mr. Pan Wei, representing the forum organizers, gave a toast. Throughout the standing cocktail party, friends from the domestic and international laundry industry exchanged experiences, conveyed friendship, toasted, and enjoyed the lively and harmonious atmosphere. Everyone looked forward to more cooperation and jointly wished for better development of China's laundry industry!
This summit forum aimed to gather pioneering industry forces, promote industry development, and strengthen international cooperation and communication. After the event, attendees expressed that they gained a lot, broadening their horizons in understanding new domestic and international technologies, optimizing business models, and promoting sustainable industry development. Through participation, they also made many domestic and international industry friends, strengthened unity and cooperation within the industry, and established the international status of Chinese laundry professionals. Although China's laundry industry started late, with the improvement of national living standards and gradual standardization of various service industries, we believe that Chinese laundry professionals will diligently and conscientiously develop the laundry industry well and rapidly.
