1. On February 3, the China General Chamber of Commerce, the China Laundry Committee, and the Laundry Label Committee jointly issued the "Guidelines for Operation and Service Prevention and Control in the Laundry Industry During the COVID-19 Epidemic" to help laundry enterprises produce and resume work in an orderly manner.
Recently, the China Laundry Committee conducted a "Survey Questionnaire on the Impact of the COVID-19 Epidemic on Laundry Enterprises" in the laundry industry, receiving active responses from hundreds of enterprises to gain detailed understanding of the problems encountered by enterprises, their trend judgments, and policy needs.
2. On February 5, based on recent detailed research, the China Laundry Committee submitted the "Policy Recommendations for the Laundry Industry During the COVID-19 Epidemic" to the China General Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce, and other institutions to help enterprises obtain more government support and assistance.
3. On February 6, the State Taxation Administration issued a notice clarifying that the laundry and other life service industries are exempt from value-added tax during the epidemic period, effective from January 1, 2020.
4. On February 7, the Liaoning Province Laundry Industry Association (a member unit of the China Laundry Committee) issued a notice on做好开工防疫工作的通知.
5. On February 12, the Ministry of Commerce issued the "Notice on Issuing the Epidemic Prevention and Control Guidelines for the Residential Life Service Industry," in which the "Guidelines for Operation and Service Prevention and Control in the Laundry Industry During the COVID-19 Epidemic (Interim)" jointly formulated by the China General Chamber of Commerce, the China Laundry Committee, and the Laundry Label Committee was designated as a guiding document for epidemic prevention and orderly resumption of work in the laundry industry, requiring all enterprises to follow.
6. On February 14, Kenigisha Laundry Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (a member of the China Laundry Committee) celebrated its 10th anniversary and published a foreword to thank its vast number of customers.
7. On February 15, the Shaanxi Province Laundry Industry Association (Deputy Director of the China Laundry Committee) issued a notice on做好疫情防控和复工复产的通知.
8. On February 17, the Shanghai Laundry Industry Association (Deputy Director of the China Laundry Committee) issued the Shanghai Laundry Store Epidemic Prevention and Control Guidelines.
9. On February 18, Beijing Riguang (Deputy Director of the China Laundry Committee) and the Tianjin Laundry Industry Association (Deputy Director of the China Laundry Committee) jointly donated disinfectant and other virus disinfection protective supplies to Tianjin laundry enterprises.
10. On February 18, the Nanjing Laundry Industry Association (Executive Member Unit) issued the Guidelines for Operation and Service Prevention and Control of Nanjing Laundry Enterprises During the COVID-19 Epidemic.
11. On February 19, the China Laundry Committee collected high-incidence clothing accident cases from 2019 from various laundry industry associations (chambers of commerce), related laundry enterprises, and laundry industry practitioners.
12. On February 23, the Dalian Laundry Industry Association (a member unit of the China Laundry Committee) issued and implemented the group standard "More Detailed Operation and Service Requirements During the COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Period"; on the 25th, the association organized the donation of 700 laundry cards worth RMB 350,000 to frontline medical workers.
13. On February 26, Beijing Riguang (Deputy Director of the China Laundry Committee), together with the Liaoning Province Laundry Industry Association (a member unit of the China Laundry Committee) and the Inner Mongolia Laundry Association (a member unit of the China Laundry Committee), jointly donated disinfectant and other virus disinfection protective supplies to enterprises serving the epidemic fight.
14. On February 29, the Shanghai Laundry Industry Association (Deputy Director of the China Laundry Committee) issued the Shanghai Laundry Store Resumption and Production Prevention and Control Guidelines During the COVID-19 Epidemic.
15. Since the epidemic, many laundry enterprises fighting on the front line of epidemic prevention, such as Xinyuan Medical Textile, Shanghai Jingxi, Guoyao Chuangfu, Laian Changxing Textile, Jingzhou Qiyiniao, Beijing Baojiete, Shanxi Kelaian, Shanghai Shicao, Shanghai Dichuang, Beijing Riguang, Renhu Sheng, Guangzhou Jianhong, Ningxia Mingyang, Lantian, Beijing Hanhwang, E-Daixi, etc., have actively formulated internal enterprise standards and shared them with industry enterprises in response to epidemic prevention requirements. Enterprises such as Qingdao Jieshen, Hefei Meizhijie, Ruikang Pharmaceutical, Shandong Xiaoya, Taidi Technology, Beijing Riguang, Ningxia Yiershuai, Taizhou Dafuhao/Guangzhou Gaoshijie, etc., have extended helping hands by donating materials to epidemic areas and key public places.
16. The China Laundry Committee and various local laundry industry associations have actively participated in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pneumonia epidemic, offering advice to enterprises, advocating positive and scientific prevention concepts, and emphasizing the protection of epidemic safety for laundry service workers and consumers. The China Laundry Committee has appealed to the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and other parties, reflecting the severe shortage of protective materials directly supporting hospitals and hotel textile laundry enterprises on the front line of the epidemic fight. This has received attention from relevant departments, resolving urgent needs of some enterprises in Hubei and Beijing, and further efforts are ongoing.
