The premier event of China's laundry and dyeing industry successfully concluded in Shanghai

The "2012 (13th) China International Laundry Industry Exhibition," jointly organized by the China Commercial Federation Laundry Professional Committee and Guangdong Xinzhilian Exhibition Services Co., Ltd., successfully concluded on September 26 at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center. This exhibition, themed "Green Environmental Protection, Healthy Washing," closely followed industry development trends and international directions, focusing on showcasing laundry technologies and the latest achievements related to energy saving and environmental protection. It attracted 241 well-known brands from 16 countries and regions including China, the United States, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and Japan, as well as 10,243 visitors from 22 countries worldwide and 30 provinces, cities, and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions in China, achieving remarkable success once again.
This exhibition received strong support from the Ministry of Commerce of China, China Commercial Federation, and the National Laundry Standardization Technical Committee, as well as vigorous cooperation from laundry industry associations in 43 key provinces and cities nationwide including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong, and Sichuan. The exhibition area increased from less than 8,000 square meters in the previous session to 10,000 square meters, with over 500 booths, a growth rate of 33%. Besides the scale increase, the exhibition featured many breakthroughs and highlights, receiving widespread attention and high praise from industry insiders.

Domestic and international well-known brands participating in this exhibition include: Alliance, Jensen, Primus, Transferon, Goudkuil, UniMac, Speed Queen, Milnor, Multimatic, Hoffman-New Yorker, Goldman, Anghinetti, Metso, YAC, Nihon Sealing, Sankosha, Fornet, Ilsa, Cobber, Andrew, Hangxing, Haishi, Weishi, Zhongshi, Chuangxin Gudao, Qiaoliya, Yasen, Topli, Oasis, Deli, Badadao, Fennis, and others. Among them, Shanghai Weishi exhibited dozens of newly developed products in an area of over 300 square meters, including automated ironing and conveyor equipment, becoming the biggest highlight of the exhibition. Jiangsu Haishi made a stunning debut with large-scale equipment such as washing dragons and drying dragons, as well as fully automatic ironing and folding machines, attracting many visitors. Hangxing Group adopted a technology-filled design with a stylish and atmospheric booth style, becoming the most distinctive booth at this exhibition. Alliance and Primus, two international giants, had specially designed booths near the main entrance, occupying the best locations and becoming the primary "targets" for domestic and foreign buyers. Topli, YAC, and Xiongwei Technology chose to exhibit jointly this year, forming a strong alliance and creating a highly popular and effective booth. Other companies such as Qiaoliya, Zhongshi, Oasis, Chuangxin Gudao, Yasen, Guoxin, Baiqiang, and Fennis also used large special booths, each showcasing unique features in booth design, layout, and product display, adding brilliance to this exhibition.
Compared with previous exhibitions, more large machinery such as washing dragons, drying dragons, conveyor equipment, and coin-operated self-service washing machines competed to be displayed. In addition, garment finishing equipment such as fully automatic folding machines, ironing machines, multifunctional ironing tables, and packaging machines occupied a considerable proportion of this exhibition. These all demonstrate the prosperous development of China's laundry service industry.

To adapt to the rapid development momentum of China's leather care market, the organizer set up a special zone at this exhibition to concentrate on displaying leather and fur rescue technologies, machinery and equipment, care chemicals, as well as training and franchise services. The first "China Laundry Industry Awards Ceremony" was an important concurrent event of this year's laundry exhibition, held on the opening day at the Shanghai Everbright Hotel International Banquet Hall. Attendees included leaders from the Ministry of Commerce, China Commercial Federation, International Textile Care Committee, provincial and municipal associations, as well as over 500 outstanding entrepreneurs and laundry experts from home and abroad.

(2) The National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Knowledge Competition Was Wonderful
The National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Knowledge Competition, held in conjunction with the exhibition to support the Ministry of Commerce's nationwide "Quality Service" campaign, was co-hosted by the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce and the National Laundry Standardization Technical Committee. This event is an important activity to improve the service level of China's laundry industry, promote the construction of employee quality, and showcase the style of laundry industry workers. The competition attracted nearly 70 contestants from provinces, cities, and autonomous regions including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Jilin, Liaoning, Ningxia, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shaanxi, Hangzhou, and Qingdao to participate in the finals.
This competition focused on testing the contestants' knowledge of laundry industry standards and technical knowledge. Through the competition, it aimed to promote laundry industry standards and popularize laundry technical knowledge, playing a role in advancing the standardized and regulated development of the laundry industry.

(3) Meeting Between the Laundry Committee and Senior Leaders of the International Textile Care Council
On September 26, the leadership of the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce held their first international meeting with the CEO of the International Textile Care Council (CINET) at Shanghai Hangxing Machinery Co., Ltd. Ms. Wang Shuyuan, Director of the Laundry Committee, Mr. Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General, and Mr. Xue Dapeng, Deputy Secretary-General, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Director Wang Shuyuan first presented Mr. Peter Wennekes with a commemorative album of the Laundry Committee and the "China Laundry" journal. Secretary-General Pan personally pinned the Laundry Committee badge on Mr. Wennekes. Director Wang briefly introduced the association's work for 2013 to Mr. Peter Wennekes. Mr. Wennekes expressed that the International Textile Care Council would actively participate in the 2013 China International Laundry Festival hosted by the Laundry Committee. He presented some advanced international laundry industry materials and emphasized issues related to energy saving and emission reduction. After the meeting, attendees toured Shanghai Hangxing Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
The success of the meeting also marked another close exchange between the China Laundry Industry Association and international laundry industry organizations. The booming market prospects of China's laundry industry and increasing international exchanges and cooperation will attract more foreign enterprises and related institutions, making a significant mark in the history of China's laundry industry.

(4) Laundry Care Training and Famous Enterprise Product Promotion Were Even More Exciting
The International Textile Care Council (CINET) from the European Union held a two-day "Energy Conservation, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development Seminar," while promoting the SWITCH Asia project to the Chinese laundry industry, helping Chinese laundry enterprises advance energy conservation and environmental protection processes.
Additionally, several well-known companies held product promotion conferences during the exhibition to share cutting-edge technology and discuss industry development prospects. For example, Shanghai Hangxing Company presented an exciting analysis of SGS (Hangxing Integrated Laundry System). Mr. Wu Jianjun, SGS Project Expansion Director, discussed the trend of "central laundry plants" with attendees. Mr. Li Jingjin, General Manager of Shanghai Weishi Company, shared with attendees "How to Operate a Laundry Chain Business with a Centralized Laundry Model." Laundry stain removal expert Ms. Li Junping carefully taught the audience "Stain Removal Techniques for Textile Fibers and Leather Products." Mr. Yu Qiang, Deputy General Manager of Funait, one of China's largest laundry chains, delivered an excellent "Laundry Store Operation Management Training Course" for laundry store managers nationwide.
