Hello everyone! The first "China Laundry and Dyeing Industry Awards Ceremony" hosted by the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce is grandly opening today in Shanghai. Please allow me, on behalf of the Department of Service Trade and Commercial Services of the Ministry of Commerce, to warmly welcome you all to the conference and express my sincere thanks!
On May 2, 2012, the "2012 Quality Service Activities in the Commercial Service Industry" initiated by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by the China General Chamber of Commerce kicked off in Beijing. This quality service activity, themed "Dedicate Quality Service, Strive to Create Advanced Models," was implemented through methods such as practitioners demonstrating standards, services, and commitments, competing in skills, quality, and contributions, and striving to create public satisfaction windows, quality service brands, and outstanding service models. The purpose is to promote the commercial service industry to adapt to new trends in domestic and international service development, comprehensively improve service levels, and create a good atmosphere of "serving the people, pioneering and striving for excellence." The China General Chamber of Commerce and the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee quickly launched the signing ceremony of the "National Integrity Service Convention for the Laundry and Dyeing Industry," opening the curtain for the laundry and dyeing industry's quality service activities themed "Laundry and Dyeing Beautify Life, Quality Creates the Future." This Shanghai awards ceremony is a phased summary and commendation of the quality service series activities. Here, I especially congratulate the brand units and advanced individuals recognized in the laundry and dyeing industry!
Distinguished guests: The laundry and dyeing industry, as a traditional livelihood industry in our country, holds an irreplaceable position in the commercial service industry; it plays an important role in prospering the market, serving people's livelihood, absorbing employment, and promoting urbanization. The year 2012 is a year of inheritance and progress for China's laundry and dyeing industry. With the progress and development of our social economy, the acceleration of urbanization, and the improvement of people's income and living standards, people's lifestyles are undergoing tremendous changes, bringing huge market demand for our present and future. In 2012, the Ministry of Commerce issued the "Guiding Opinions on Further Developing the Laundry and Dyeing Industry during the 12th Five-Year Plan," the National Standardization Technical Committee was approved for establishment, and the national industry standards "Laundry and Dyeing Service Operation Specifications" and "Laundry and Dyeing Service Quality Requirements" were officially promulgated and implemented, marking the establishment of "industry standards and regulations" in China's laundry and dyeing industry. At the same time, I am pleased today to see and learn that our Chinese laundry and dyeing industry's independent brands have formed joint ventures and cooperations with international brands, and our brands have gone international. This awards ceremony fully demonstrates the prosperous, brilliant, and colorful development of China's laundry and dyeing industry, adding luster to the good start of the commercial service industry's new style activities.
To accelerate the revitalization of China's laundry and dyeing industry, the goal must be to transform the laundry and dyeing industry into a modern service industry, achieving industrialization and standardization. In the near term, I hope all colleagues in the laundry and dyeing industry will: follow the overall requirements of the national commercial "12th Five-Year Plan," combine with the actual development of the laundry and dyeing industry, take structural adjustment and industrial upgrading as the lead, focus on promoting independent innovation, technological transformation, elimination of backwardness, optimizing layout, and cultivating brands; adhere to both standard implementation and standard formulation, promote the implementation of industry standards, and follow the path of standardization, normalization, professionalism, and industrialization; adopt multiple measures, fully leverage the role of industry associations, mobilize the enthusiasm, creativity, and initiative of all aspects of the industry, track international industry trends, broaden the stage for laundry and dyeing undertakings, and enable the laundry and dyeing industry to embark on a path of good, fast, and scientific development in its own development and quality service to the public.
Finally, I wish the awards ceremony a complete success! I wish all delegates smooth work and new achievements in our country's laundry and dyeing cause! Thank you!
