1. On July 1, another national standard for the laundry and dyeing industry, "Quality Requirements for Public Textile Cleaning" (GB/T 35744-2017), was officially implemented. This standard will provide a basis for quality control and quality supervision of public textile cleaning.
2. On July 3, the Northeast Asia Laundry and Dyeing Festival, jointly organized by Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Changchun, and Inner Mongolia provinces (regions) and cities, opened. Some local association leaders, enterprise representatives, and industry insiders attended the event. Pan Wei, Director of the China Laundry Committee, attended and gave a speech.
3. On July 16, the second national meeting of directors of the Public Textile Laundry Professional Office and Medical Textile Laundry Professional Office was held in Shanghai, summarizing past work and proposing basic ideas for future work.
4. On July 17, the 2018 (Third) China Public Textile Laundry Summit Forum was held in Shanghai. The forum gathered authoritative figures from the domestic and international laundry and dyeing industry, with 16 speakers and dialogue guests and over 200 industry professionals attending to jointly celebrate the event.
5. On July 17, the "China Laundry and Dyeing Industry Development Report - 2017" was released at the summit forum site.
6. On the evening of July 17, the Shanghai Laundry Industry Association held its 30th anniversary celebration, with more than 200 people from inside and outside the industry attending to congratulate. Jiang Ming, President of the China Commercial Federation, attended and delivered a speech.
7. From July 18 to 20, the 19th China International Laundry Industry Exhibition grandly opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The exhibition covered nearly 23,000 square meters, with nearly 1,500 booths, over 200 domestic and foreign exhibitors, and about 500 well-known domestic and international brands. It is reported that in August 2019, the "China International Laundry Industry Exhibition" and the "International Textile Professional Treatment (Laundry) Asia Exhibition" will be jointly held in Shanghai.
8. On July 18, the "40 Years of Reform and Opening Up · Tribute to Chinese Laundry Workers" exhibition event, jointly organized by the China International Laundry Industry Exhibition Organizing Committee and some local associations, was held at the 19th Laundry Exhibition site. The China Laundry Committee also held the ceremony to award the "Meritorious Figures in the Chinese Laundry Industry."
9. On July 19, the China Laundry Committee organized an enterprise exploration activity, with nearly 200 industry colleagues visiting Matilian Laundry Factory, Shanghai Shicao, and Shanghai Chaojie factories for exchange and visits. The tour covered workwear laundry, medical laundry, and rental laundry.
10. On July 19, the launch ceremony of the Xingeng Laundry Business School was held at the Haier exhibition area of the China Laundry Exhibition, attended by Pan Wei, Director of the China Laundry Committee, among others.
11. On July 25 and 26, the Taiyuan Laundry Association held the third Shanxi Laundry Festival and the 11th Taiyuan City Workers' Vocational Skills Competition Laundry Master Contest.
12. On July 26, on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of the founding of the army, the "2018 Fourth National Laundry Industry Veterans Reunion" was held in Chengdu.
13. On July 26 and 27, the 8th Beijing Commercial Service Industry Skills Competition clothing ironing contest was held.
14. On July 26, the technical review meeting for the recommended standard "Environmental Label Product Technical Requirements Laundry Service" was held in Beijing. The China Laundry Committee, as a participating drafting unit, sent experts to attend the meeting.
