The China General Chamber of Commerce released the "Top Ten Hotspots in China's Commerce in 2011" and its commentary report on January 5, 2011.

2. Domestic consumption maintains rapid growth; affected by inflation and other factors, the actual growth rate of total retail sales of consumer goods will slow down.
3. Online shopping continues to grow abnormally, showing three development trends: chain retailers vigorously expand online sales "windows"; online malls accelerate the construction of their own logistics systems; group buying online experiences explosive growth.
4. Adapting to the needs of an aging population and developing the silver market will become important entry points for expanding consumption in the new year.
5. The "green and low-carbon" retail industry continues to heat up, with evident effects, and is expected to become a long-term "highlight" of commercial development during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan."
6. "Food safety first," pilot work on the construction of traceability systems for meat and vegetable circulation is fully underway.
7. To meet the increasingly diverse consumer demands, retail formats are accelerating innovation.
8. The rapid development of subway and light rail transit is set to change the clustering mode of urban retail services, and station commerce will rise rapidly.
9. Commercial business premises have become a hot investment area, and commercial street construction has entered a peak period.
10. Circulation costs continue to rise and remain high; reducing institutional costs in the commercial service industry is eagerly anticipated by the industry.
