The 2017 National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Spring Festival Series Activities Successfully Concluded

On January 9th, 2017, the National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Spring Festival series of events was held at the China Workers' Home in Beijing, mainly consisting of three parts: the "Fifth National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association Joint Meeting," the "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival Press Conference," and the "Laundry and Dyeing Family Spring Festival Gala."

Fifth National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association Joint Meeting

The Fifth National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association Joint Meeting was held at the China Workers' Home in Beijing. More than 40 presidents (vice presidents), secretaries-general, and representatives of key enterprises responsible for daily association work from provincial, municipal, and autonomous region associations including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shandong, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Hong Kong, Hebei, Shaanxi, Xinjiang, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Hebei Laundry and Dyeing Committee, Fujian, Jiangxi, Qinghai Laundry and Dyeing Committee, Fujian Chamber of Commerce, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Taiyuan, Dalian, Taizhou, Wuhan, Changchun, Yingkou, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Suzhou, Baoding, Tieling, Yancheng, Jingzhou, Handan, and others attended the meeting. Wang Shuyuan, founding director of the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee, and director Pan Wei attended the meeting, which was chaired by Wang Xueren, director of the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Industry Expert Committee.

The meeting focused on discussing the "Laundry and Dyeing Industry Management Measures" (revised draft). This document has undergone significant changes compared to the original "Laundry and Dyeing Industry Management Measures" issued in 2007. During the meeting, the modifications in the document were explained item by item. The attending leaders from various regions listened attentively and provided constructive suggestions for the revision of the "Laundry and Dyeing Industry Management Measures."

Subsequently, associations from various regions exchanged their work experiences with different focuses. Leaders such as President Pan Fuzeng of the Beijing Association, President Chen Qijun of the Tianjin Association, President Sun Shanjia of the Shandong Association, Secretary-General Shi Jianrong of the Guangdong Association, President Zhang Shoujun of the Liaoning Association, and Chairman Lin Charlie of the Hong Kong Service Industry Federation introduced valuable experiences summarized by their associations over the years. Topics such as association construction, formulation of group standards, and the application of commercial insurance in the laundry and dyeing service industry represent the continuous efforts and innovations to enhance service capabilities. During the free speech session, the atmosphere was lively. Everyone agreed that with the convening of several joint meetings, the increasing number of participants reflects unprecedented industry cohesion, which is significant for promoting mutual exchange and learning among associations and improving the development level of China's laundry and dyeing industry. Director Pan Wei introduced the key work points of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee for 2017 at the meeting: innovating standardization work and promoting the implementation of standards; strengthening vocational training and improving training quality; successfully hosting large-scale events focusing on the Third China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival; pioneering association work and establishing data statistics and analysis systems; providing good consulting services and dispute mediation. Director Pan said that the Laundry and Dyeing Committee has always been committed to building an excellent brand owned by laundry and dyeing professionals. After much effort and with the support of associations and enterprises across the country, significant progress has been made. In the future, the committee will create more new service "products" to provide more services to members. Director Wang Shuyuan spoke at the end of the meeting, expressing her joy as the founding director of the association to see the current scale of the joint meeting and hear the high-quality speeches of the participants. The presidents and vice presidents of associations from across the country coming together to discuss a common industry goal reflects the high unity of the laundry and dyeing industry. Through years of effort, the scale of activities owned by laundry and dyeing professionals has been continuously expanding, which is the result of the joint efforts of industry colleagues. She hopes that in 2017, associations nationwide will unite as one to successfully create the Third China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival and build a good international image for China's laundry and dyeing industry.

China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival Press Conference

The Third China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival, as the most significant event in the industry’s 2017 work, held its press conference on January 9, 2017, at the Workers' Home in Beijing. More than 200 deputy directors of the China Laundry and Dyeing Committee, representatives of local associations, experts from the committee, and member enterprise representatives from across the country attended the event.

After the heavy release of the laundry and dyeing festival promotional video, the press conference opened under the hosting of Mr. Pan Wei, director of the China Laundry and Dyeing Committee, who welcomed all guests to the event.

At the press conference, three key projects of the Third China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival, scheduled for September 24-28, 2017, were announced separately.

The first announcement was the 18th China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition. Han Xiuping, deputy secretary-general of the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Committee and general manager of Xinzhilian Exhibition Company, announced that the next exhibition will not only upgrade the exhibition area and offer a series of preferential treatments in publicity and buyer organization but also hold a series of activities during the exhibition period to enrich content and build the most well-known exhibition brand in China's laundry and dyeing industry. During the announcement of the 10th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition, deputy secretary-general Feng Jinna reviewed the contributions of the previous nine competitions to the industry and announced the schedule and new rules for the next competition. The spirit of the 10th competition will be inheritance and innovation, and it will incorporate more international elements by combining the competition concept of the WorldSkills Competition.

Assistant Director Yan Wen of the China Laundry and Dyeing Committee announced the Fourth World Laundry and Dyeing Industry Summit Forum, which has been prepared over four years and will be held concurrently with the exhibition. The forum will analyze industry trends, launch new products, feature mysterious guests discussing market trends, share user experiences, build an active discussion platform, provide live sharing, add exciting content, and combine the forum and exhibition to create eight highlights that make attendees eagerly anticipate the 2017 summit forum.

Laundry and Dyeing Family Spring Festival Gala The 2017 National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Spring Festival Gala was held on January 9 at the China Workers' Home in Beijing. More than 250 people attended the gala, including directors of the China Laundry and Dyeing Committee, leaders of laundry and dyeing associations from across the country, industry experts, and enterprise representatives. The gala opened with a wonderful dance performance. Director Wang Shuyuan and Director Pan Wei of the China Laundry and Dyeing Committee, along with deputy directors and more than thirty leaders of local associations, sent holiday greetings to laundry and dyeing professionals nationwide. The Beijing Association presented "Rap Face Painting" and "The Drunken Concubine," showcasing strong Beijing dialect and style. The joint performance of "The Prodigal Son's Voice" by President Lu Zhiji of the Guangzhou Association and Vice Chairman Luo Zhuomin of the Hong Kong Laundry Service Industry was the first-ever collaboration between Hong Kong and Guangdong at the gala, making it very meaningful! Next, a recitation titled "Ode to Laundry and Dyeing" praised the many laundry and dyeing professionals who have continuously strived for the cause, inspiring everyone. The fluorescent dance performed by the China Laundry and Dyeing Committee Secretariat staff brought the atmosphere to its peak, turning the entire event into a joyous and festive sea! The performances by company representatives were wonderful, with songs, dances, and other programs creating a strong festive atmosphere, joyful and celebratory; the evening party also presented mascots to audience members born in the zodiac year and held a large prize draw on site to award lucky guests. Finally, the party bid a reluctant farewell to the guests present with a performance of "My Motherland and I" by President Xu Manli of the Dalian Association, with guests lingering unwilling to leave.

The networking event provided a platform for laundry and dyeing workers present to gather, communicate, and exchange holiday greetings on the eve of the Spring Festival. Here, the Laundry and Dyeing Committee and the Beijing Association sent their blessings on site to the hardworking laundry and dyeing workers on the front lines across the country, wishing everyone a happy New Year, good luck in the Year of the Rooster, and may all your wishes come true!
