From September 11 to 13, the "9th China Laundry Industry Exhibition," the premier event of China's laundry industry, was grandly held at the Shanghai Guangda Exhibition Center. At this exhibition jointly organized by the China General Chamber of Commerce and New Union Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., more than 100 well-known brands from 12 countries and regions worldwide, including the United States' Alliance, Milnor, Multimatic, Hoffman-New Yorker, GEP, Dema; Italy's Union, Renzacci; the United Kingdom's Andrew; Germany's Cobber, Seitz, Bufa; Japan's Mitsubishi, Fuji, Toboli, Tohoku, Miura, San-ai, Miyata Koki, Teraoka, Takamatsu Oil, Right; France's Fornet, Danube; China's Haishi, Weishi, Shenguang, Yasen, and Taiwan's Elephant King, Commander, etc., showcased the latest domestic and international laundry and dry-cleaning technologies, equipment, raw materials, as well as laundry chain franchising and rental laundry services.
According to the organizers, this exhibition covered nearly 5,000 square meters with over 200 booths, displaying more than 100 types of laundry machinery. During the two and a half days of the exhibition, a total of 6,027 visitors from 16 foreign countries and regions, 27 domestic provinces and cities, and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan attended for visits and procurement. Reporters noticed at the venue that on the morning of the opening day, the sudden influx of over two thousand visitors overwhelmed the reception staff. Long queues formed at the visitor registration and reception desks, including the "Pre-registered Visitor Reception Desk." The organizer stated that the number of pre-registered visitors exceeded 1,500, the highest ever, and the number of visitors on the first day was also the largest in history.
During two and a half days of on-site interviews, reporters found that the booth of Shanghai Weishi Machinery Co., Ltd., which had the largest exhibition area, became the main focus of this exhibition. The simultaneous demonstration of more than twenty laundry machines attracted many visitors, crowding the over 100-square-meter booth and surrounding aisles, creating an extremely lively scene. The company's General Manager, Mr. Lv Liyi, expressed great excitement in an interview, saying: "The organization of visitors at this exhibition was very successful, with a continuous stream of visitors. Our participation has been very rewarding and effective."
Located in the middle of the main aisle of the international exhibition area, Taiwan's Elephant King Company decorated its booth predominantly in the corporate image color yellow, making it very eye-catching. The dazzling array of various laundry stain removal products and multiple dry-cleaning machines made the nearly 100-square-meter space somewhat crowded. Multiple prize quiz activities were held daily, attracting many enthusiastic participants, with cheers frequently drawing the attention of visitors within a hundred meters. Well-known chain franchise brands such as Fornet, Kabo, and GEP also made appearances at the exhibition.
At the booths of laundry equipment manufacturers such as Toboli, Miyata Koki, Youkaile, Haishi, Shenguang, Yasen, Zhongshi, and Hoffman, reporters saw the latest and most advanced laundry machinery from home and abroad, including dry-cleaning machines, ironing machines, dryers, packaging machines, boilers, ironing tables, stain removal tables, clamping machines, and large tunnel washing machine models (commonly known as laundry cages). Exhibitors provided detailed introductions to visitors through live demonstrations, graphic explanations, and video presentations. The booths of laundry chemical manufacturers such as Commander, Ausishan, Weili, Phinix, Limin, and Green Nano were always crowded, and reporters' multiple attempts to interview were unsuccessful, so interviews were scheduled during lunch breaks.
It is understood that most exhibitors' promotional materials were all distributed on the first day, requiring reprinting of business cards to replenish. Reporters visited all exhibitors over two days and received only one feedback on the exhibition's effect — "very satisfied." All exhibitors praised the grand occasion of the exhibition and, surprised, felt extremely confident about the development of China's laundry industry. According to the organizers' on-site survey statistics, the on-site transaction amount exceeded 10 million yuan.

On the afternoon of September 11 at 14:00, the National Laundry Industry Technical Exchange Conference was held as scheduled. Due to interview work, the reporter could not arrive 15 minutes early as planned. At 13:56, when the reporter arrived, the entrance was already tightly packed, and the nearly 300-square-meter venue was fully seated, with the aisles filled with people. With the help of the organizer's person in charge, a seat was finally added beside the audio control console, allowing the interview to proceed smoothly. The meeting was hosted by Secretary-General Pan Wei of the China General Chamber of Commerce Laundry Committee. Vice President An Huimin and Deputy Secretary-General Wang Shuyuan of the China General Chamber of Commerce delivered speeches, emphasizing the importance of brand building for industry development and the practical role of the exhibition's success in establishing industry brands. The "2007 Laundry Industry Brand Survey" award ceremony was grandly held, awarding Fornet, Rongchang·Ilsa, Elephant King, Blanch, Kabo, Zhengzhang, Shoulv Pland, and GEP the title of "Well-known Laundry Service Enterprises." Haishi, Hangxing, Shenguang Laundry, Yasen, Jinan Oasis, Toboli, and Jiupeng were awarded "Well-known Laundry Equipment, Chemicals, and Auxiliary Materials Manufacturers." Association leaders and entrepreneurs such as Ren Fengmei, Chen Youqing, Zhu Lijun, Zhang Rongyao, Huang Jinneng, Sun Shanjia, and Lu Zhiji were awarded "Outstanding Contributors to the Laundry Industry." After the award ceremony, Mr. Wu Jingmiao, Chief Engineer of Beijing Fornet Company, analyzed cases of new clothing fabric accidents. In the next day's meeting, guests including Mr. Kawasaki, Director of the East Japan Cleaning Research Institute; Mr. Gaten Jialang, Overseas Department Manager of Japan Takamatsu Oil Co., Ltd.; Mr. Qi Gang, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Youkaile Company; Mr. Yu Jinshan, General Manager of Beijing Jiebao Company; and Mr. Zhou Jie, General Manager of Beijing Rongchang Company, extensively exchanged and answered questions with participants on clothing washing, stain removal, leather care, accident treatment, equipment configuration, store operation and management, and Olympic service guarantees.

From the image promotional boards set up at the exhibition site and the promotional materials distributed by the organizers, it is learned that the "50th International Laundry Industry Conference" will be held in Beijing, China, for the first time from September 6 to 8, 2009. The "10th China International Laundry Industry Exhibition" and the "6th National Laundry Industry Vocational Skills Competition" will also be held from September 8 to 10 at the National Agricultural Exhibition Hall in Beijing. The simultaneous holding of these three major events will create an unprecedented "China Laundry Festival," the best platform for global laundry professionals to communicate and cooperate. The reporter firmly believes that based on the great success of the 9th China Laundry Industry Exhibition, Beijing in September 2009 will become the focus of the global laundry industry, and China's laundry industry will usher in its best period of rapid development.
