The first batch of disaster relief clothing from Rongchang Yrsa set off on the morning of May 25th
At 6:00 on May 25th, clothing donated by Beijing citizens was dispatched from headquarters and handed over at Dahongmen Freight Station to representatives of the Beijing Youth Development Foundation and the Beijing Volunteer Association. Representatives from Rongchang Yrsa saw the clothes "board the vehicle," with live coverage by multiple media outlets including Beijing TV. The donated materials include clothes, quilts, and more, totaling over 40,000 pieces. This is the first batch of clothing sent from Beijing to support the Wenchuan earthquake disaster. All items were cleaned, disinfected, and packed by Rongchang Yrsa, embodying the concern of the people of Rongchang for their compatriots affected by the Wenchuan earthquake, as well as the love of Beijing citizens for the victims.
According to the chief person in charge of clothing donations at Rongchang Yrsa, the first stop for these clothes is Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, from where the local Youth Foundation will distribute them to various cities, counties, and townships. The next batch of clothing will be dispatched soon after discussions with the Youth Foundation and Volunteer Association.
