Taidi fully acquires Dudu Nail, Wang Biao becomes Yao Zongchang's golden partner

On December 5th, there were reports that Taidi would fully acquire Dudu Nail. When EO Network confirmed with Taidi's founder Yao Zongchang, he replied with several smiley faces to indicate agreement. It is reported that Taidi will fully acquire Dudu Nail and convert it into a subsidiary of Taidi. Meanwhile, both parties' businesses will operate independently.
On December 5th, there were reports that the home service brand "Taidi" would fully acquire the on-demand nail platform "Dudu Nail." When EO Network confirmed with Taidi's founder Yao Zongchang, he replied with three smiley faces to indicate agreement.
It is reported that Taidi will fully acquire Dudu Nail and convert it into a subsidiary of Taidi. Meanwhile, both parties' businesses will operate independently. After the acquisition is completed, Dudu Nail's founder Wang Biao will become a partner of Taidi, and the Dudu Nail team will be integrated into Taidi.
However, when EO Network sought more information from Yao Zongchang, he said he was busy recently and unable to accept interviews; specific details will be disclosed next week. He stated that Taidi and Dudu Nail reached an agreement because they share common values and goals, namely providing higher-quality home services for the middle class.
Founded in 2012, the home service brand Taidi includes two major categories: Taidi Laundry and Taidi Green Plants. Yao Zongchang himself founded Bain Advertising in 2005, providing services to many Fortune 500 companies and foreign government agencies, and founded the P2P platform Haha Loan in 2009.
As for Dudu Nail, founded in 2014, it has received investments from institutions such as Sequoia and Source Code. Previously, there were multiple reports of difficulties in Dudu Nail's business progress, but according to the official website, Dudu Nail had achieved about 5,000 daily orders and over 2,000 nail technicians by 2015.
In October this year, Taidi also reached a comprehensive strategic cooperation with 58 Daojia, with both parties agreeing on three aspects:
1) Taidi Laundry and Taidi Green Plants will be listed on 58 Daojia;
2) Taidi and 58 Daojia will share user resources;
3) Taidi and 58 Daojia will complement each other’s categories.
However, industry insiders told EO Network: "The cooperation between 58 Daojia and Taidi is only nominal; no real business has been carried out because there is no responsible person for coordination. Moreover, both 58 Daojia and Taidi are undergoing internal layoffs, business progress is not smooth, and they lack the ability to pay salaries. Company management chaos has also led to some employees leaving. Regardless of what happens later, the current cooperation is just hype."
Yao Zongchang once told EO Network that laundry is an entry point for Taidi to enter community life, and green plants are just one product among others. Taidi focuses on the possibility of entering other fields after the entry point. Taidi's acquisition of Dudu Nail means it will start deep integration in the local life sector. After completing layouts in laundry, green plants, and beauty, what other moves will Taidi make?
