According to the Tianjin Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association: To accelerate the cultivation of highly skilled talents, the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Labor and Social Security issued the "Notice on Carrying out the Second 'Tianjin Technical Expert' Selection Activity" on February 25, 2009. The notice stipulates that winners who ranked in the top five in the national second-class competitions between 2007 and 2008 can apply for the title of "Tianjin Technical Expert." Those who achieved excellent results in the competition and were awarded the title of "National Technical Expert" will be directly granted the title of "Tianjin Technical Expert" and each will receive a reward of 10,000 yuan.
Accordingly, at the 5th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition, three comrades—Xu Wenxiao from Tianjin Chaoli Laundry Co., Ltd., Gao Shiling from Yin Xue Laundry in Hexi District, Tianjin, and Wang Xiumei from Huayang Laundry and Mending Shop in Tianjin—who were awarded the title of "National Technical Expert" will be honored with the title of "Tianjin Technical Expert" and each will receive an additional 10,000 yuan bonus. This reflects the local government's emphasis on improving the technical quality of frontline workers and also demonstrates recognition and support for industry competition activities.
The 6th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition will be held in Beijing in September 2009. At that time, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security will continue to award the title of "National Technical Expert" to outstanding performers.
