Recently, Ms. Xu purchased a laundry membership card at a "Daliang Weiye Laundry" near the intersection of Kaiyun Street and Feiyue Road. Having only washed clothes once, she suddenly found that the laundry had closed, and there are two to three hundred members who have had the same experience as Ms. Xu.
The laundry closed after only one wash with the membership card.
Ms. Xu said she lives in a community near Kaiyun Street. One day in May this year, she saw a laundry called "Daliang Weiye Laundry". Upon entering, she found the store to be very legitimate, and the staff attitude was good. "This store is a chain of 'Daliang' laundry, and they were having a promotion, so I purchased a membership card for 1000 yuan and was given an additional 1000 yuan. The membership card was kept in the store, and I only have the receipt in my hand."
After purchasing the membership card, she washed clothes at this store once. "In June, the clothes I washed were returned by the staff. Since I still had some autumn clothes to wash at home, I asked the staff to take them away. When leaving, I asked if I needed to leave any proof, but the staff said it was not necessary."
"A few days ago, I suddenly remembered that the clothes I sent to be washed had not been returned, so I called to inquire, but the phone was unreachable. I then went to the store and found it was closed, and both the owner and staff could not be contacted!" said Ms. Xu.
The laundry has been converted into an educational institution.
Ms. Xiao, a resident of Changchun, purchased a membership card at "Daliang Weiye Laundry" near the intersection of Tongzhi Street and Gongnong Avenue in Chaoyang District. There was still over 1400 yuan on the card, but now the location has become an English education institution. The staff of the institution said, "Daliang Weiye Laundry" is no longer operating, and the landlord has rented the storefront to them.
Ms. Xiao recalled that she had held the membership card for nearly two years. Around May or June this year, when she went to the laundry again during a discount promotion, she added another 1000 yuan to her membership card. "Later, whenever I passed by the laundry, I always saw a sign at the door saying 'Under Renovation'." Ms. Xiao said that recently, when she passed by again, she found the laundry had become an educational institution. "The staff at the educational institution said the laundry left a landline phone number!" Ms. Xiao tried calling it, and the other end was a laundry factory. "The laundry factory said the money on the membership card could not be refunded. If there were questions, I could contact the laundry owner, but where can I find the laundry owner?"
Yesterday, staff at a laundry factory in Fanjia Tun Town, Gongzhuling City, said that the owner of "Daliang Weiye Laundry" had entrusted all their business to them. "We have taken over two or three of their stores and two to three hundred laundry members." The staff said that although the distance is far, they are responsible for picking up and delivering clothes, but the money on the membership cards cannot be refunded.
Accused of being a counterfeit "Daliang International Laundry".
A reporter found online that there are several "Daliang Laundry" stores in Changchun. Manager Zhang of "Daliang International Laundry" said that "Daliang International Laundry" and "Daliang Weiye Laundry" are two different stores. Many years ago, "Daliang Weiye Laundry" was their franchise store, but later their contract was terminated, and "Daliang Weiye Laundry" registered as a business in 2013. Recently, many members of "Daliang Weiye Laundry" have come to "Daliang International Laundry", and I explained to them that "Daliang Weiye Laundry" has no relation to us!
Manager Zhang stated that "Daliang Weiye Laundry" is suspected of fraud, offering a promotion of "deposit 1000 yuan, get 1000 yuan free," which is a loss for their normal business. Currently, they are contacting the person in charge of "Daliang Weiye Laundry" because the latter allegedly used their authorization documents without permission and pretended to be their franchise store. Now, "Daliang International Laundry" is also seeking ways to protect their rights.
