The approval meeting for two national standards including "Terminology of the Washing and Dyeing Industry" was held

On April 29, with the approval of the National Standardization Management Committee, the review meeting for two national standards, "Terminology of the Laundry and Dyeing Industry" and "Quality Requirements for Public Textile Cleaning," proposed by the Ministry of Commerce and the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee and organized by the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, was held in Beijing.
These two standards are the first batch of national standards in China's laundry and dyeing industry. The formulation of these two standards further improves the construction of the standard system in China's laundry and dyeing industry, marking an important step forward towards standardization. They play a positive role in regulating the order of the laundry and dyeing industry, promoting quality and efficiency improvements in laundry and dyeing enterprises, and strengthening the core competitiveness of enterprises.
At the beginning of the meeting, Wang Shuyuan, Director of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee and Deputy Director of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee, delivered a speech. She emphasized the importance of better carrying out standardization work under the new situation, promoting the healthy and orderly development of the laundry and dyeing industry, and gradually formulating and improving the industry standard system so that the laundry and dyeing industry has standards to follow. The approval of these two standards is the result of the joint efforts of colleagues in the laundry and dyeing industry. She expressed gratitude to the enterprises and association representatives who have continuously supported the standardization work.
At the meeting, Wang Houzeng, Executive Deputy Director of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee and member and Deputy Secretary-General of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee, reported on the "Compilation Explanation" on behalf of the standard drafting working group. The expert group conducted a careful and detailed review of the draft standards submitted for approval and put forward many constructive revision suggestions.
Zhang Fan from the Department of Service Trade and Commercial Service Industry of the Ministry of Commerce stated in the concluding speech: In future standard work, government-led standards will gradually give way to association standards and enterprise standards. It is hoped that laundry and dyeing enterprises will accelerate the establishment of association standards under the leadership of industry associations to improve the competitiveness of member units and promote the sound and rapid development of the laundry and dyeing industry.
The meeting was chaired by Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee and Secretary-General of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee. A total of 23 industry experts, association, and enterprise representatives including Wang Xueren, Zhu Lijun, Lin Jun, Guo Jidong, You Rui, Liu Shuqing, Yang Ze, Wang Baohong, Xin Yubo, Yu Jinshan, Jia Runze, Wu Fang, Zhang Jie, Shi Changhong, Yan Congxiao, Xu Chunyuan, and Ma Xiangliang attended the meeting.
