Entrusted by the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee and Shaanxi Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association, the Xi'an Municipal Labor and Social Security Bureau and Xi'an Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association have decided to hold the 5th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition Shaanxi Division in Xi'an from May 17 to 19, 2007.
The competition includes five events: stain removal, ironing, dyeing, leather clothing care, and mending. It is expected that 150 contestants will participate in this competition.
Outstanding competitors will be awarded the Intermediate Laundry Worker Professional Qualification Certificate by the Xi'an Labor and Social Security Department. The top three in each event will be recommended to participate in the national finals.
The first place winners in each event of the division competition will be awarded trophies and certificates, along with a prize of 1,000 yuan; second place winners will receive trophies, certificates, and 500 yuan; third place winners will receive trophies, certificates, and 300 yuan. Each organizing unit (local association) will be awarded the "Excellent Organization Award" and the "Outstanding Contribution Award."
