At the meeting, honorary certificates were awarded to the first batch of 20 named masters, and the masters' representatives signed apprenticeship commitment letters on the spot. Vice Mayor Cheng Hong attended the naming conference and had a cordial meeting with the masters before the event. More than 130 people attended the conference, including leaders from the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, the Commerce Commission, the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Finance Bureau, Beijing Finance and Trade Vocational College, industry associations, enterprise leaders, and news media.
Among the first batch of 20 recognized masters, 4 are from commerce, 6 from the catering industry, 4 from hairdressing and beauty, 3 from the laundry and dyeing industry, and 3 from photography. These masters have three main characteristics: first, their craftsmanship skills are superb, highly unique, and have a significant social impact; second, nearly 60% of the masters come from "famous families," highlighting the important role of time-honored enterprises and intangible cultural heritage units in cultivating high-skilled talents; third, they have outstanding apprenticeship achievements. Among them, those awarded the "Chinese Traditional Craftsmanship Skills Master" in the laundry and dyeing industry are all experts from the Expert Committee of the Laundry and Dyeing Industry of the China General Chamber of Commerce, namely Wu Jingmiao, Qi Datong, and Jiang Xiling.
