The 2nd Vocational Skills Competition of the Laundry and Dyeing Industry, hosted by the Dalian Service Industry Committee and the Dalian Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and organized by the Dalian Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association, was held on July 15th and 16th.
This competition, as a selection event for the laundry worker category of the 7th Vocational Skills Competition in Dalian, attracted widespread attention from practitioners. The number of participants was more than four times that of the first competition, and participants expanded from within the city to include Jinzhou New District and the three northern cities. The competition provided a platform for industry practitioners to exchange ideas and created a good space to improve their skills, quality, and service level in the industry.
The competition included four events: garment stain removal, garment ironing, front desk garment collection, and leather care. Contestants underwent both theoretical written tests and practical assessments. The top performers based on overall scores qualified for the city finals in September.
The award ceremony for this competition was held at 3 p.m. on the 16th in the conference room of Dalian Dama Laundry Co., Ltd. Leaders from the Dalian Service Industry Committee, Dalian Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, Dalian Product Quality Inspection Institute, Dalian Consumer Association, and Dalian Vocational Skills Appraisal Center attended the ceremony. Liu Hongwei won the first prize in garment stain removal, Zhang Zhijun won the first prize in garment ironing, Huang Long and Tang Guiqiang won the first prizes in front desk garment collection and leather care respectively. Sixteen contestants received first to third prizes, sixteen were awarded the title of Technical Expert, and the award rate was 25%. All participants were issued qualification certificates for the laundry and dyeing industry. This is a major initiative by the Dalian Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association to standardize industry management, gather practitioner information, and improve laundry service quality.
Leaders attending the award ceremony presented trophies and certificates to the winners. Director Wang Zemin of the Dalian Service Industry Committee gave a closing speech, congratulating the association on the successful organization of the competition and expressing full support for the association's future work.
This competition was market-operated by the Dalian Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association and supported by many industry units. Dalian Dama Laundry Co., Ltd., Dalian Youbang Laundry Co., Ltd., Dalian Sanyo Laundry Co., Ltd., Dalian Ailan Clean Laundry Co., Ltd., Dalian Meinisi Laundry Technology Service Company, Dalian Jiezhibao Leather Care Center, and Dalian Xianfang Shoe Material Co., Ltd. all gave strong support to this competition.
