The Ministry of Commerce issues guidelines to accelerate the development of the laundry and dyeing industry

To further promote the healthy development of the laundry and dyeing industry, the Ministry of Commerce recently issued the "Guiding Opinions on Further Accelerating the Development of the Laundry and Dyeing Industry," striving for an average annual growth of over 18% in industry revenue during the 12th Five-Year Plan period.
The opinions put forward specific requirements for accelerating the development of the laundry and dyeing industry from seven aspects: strengthening planning guidance and optimizing industry layout; cultivating independent brands to enhance market competitiveness; promoting service innovation to improve service quality; applying advanced technology to promote energy saving and environmental protection; improving laws and standards to foster standardized development; increasing policy support to promote enterprise development; and strengthening foundational work to guide scientific industry development.
In addition, the guiding opinions clarify the key development areas of the laundry and dyeing industry and propose that during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the industry should strive for an average annual revenue growth of over 18%, with revenue exceeding 100 billion yuan by 2015; the industry structure will be gradually optimized, achieving community-based popular laundry service outlets, forming a number of well-managed, competitively strong regional and national brand laundry enterprises, with a certificate-holding employment rate of over 30%, continuous improvement in industry technology application levels, significant achievements in energy saving and emission reduction, and the overall industry development level basically meeting various service demands and the requirements for building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
