The 2nd Member Representative Conference of the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee was held on the afternoon of August 28 in Shanghai. More than 170 members of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Ningxia, Qinghai, Gansu, Xinjiang, Sichuan, Shandong, Fujian, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Yunnan, and other regions attended the conference. Wang Qinhua, Vice President of the China Commercial Federation, specially attended the conference. Wang Shuyuan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Commercial Federation and Director of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee, as well as the first leadership members of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee, were present at the meeting. The conference opened with the majestic national anthem. At the meeting, Director Wang Shuyuan, on behalf of the first Laundry and Dyeing Committee, delivered a work report titled "Creating Together, Witnessing Together, Sharing the Future." The report elaborated on the work since the establishment of the China Laundry and Dyeing Committee, the achievements made, and future prospects. When discussing work experiences, she said, "The achievements of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee today are the result of everyone's joint efforts and the support of relevant national departments and industry colleagues. It can be said that without the support of everyone present and the relevant national departments, there would be no Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee today. Therefore, I am very honored to have the opportunity to sincerely say thank you to everyone here!" This fully affirmed the efforts of all colleagues in the laundry and dyeing industry over the years and also fully demonstrated the industry's continuous progress.
According to the charter, the meeting elected a new board consisting of 112 council units, 68 executive council units, and 32 director units. Vice President Wang Qinhua read out the appointment decisions for the new vice directors and secretary-general. At the meeting, Li Jiemei, Vice President of the Shanghai Laundry Industry Association; Zhang Rongyao, Chairman of Beijing Rongchang Technology Service Co., Ltd.; and Ms. Lü Wei from Shanghai Shenguang Washing Machinery Group Co., Ltd. delivered wonderful speeches as representatives. Afterwards, Director Wang Shuyuan, on behalf of the new leadership members of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee, gave an inaugural speech. Regarding future work goals, she said: "First, we need to further strengthen service awareness, improve professional capabilities, and build the association itself well. Second, we must carefully study industry development trends and cooperate with the government to guide and lead the healthy development of the industry." Finally, President Wang Qinhua delivered a speech, saying: "In May of this year, the China Commercial Federation successfully completed its leadership transition election. As a representative of the new leadership team, I am very pleased to attend this Laundry and Dyeing Committee representative conference and meet with elites and experts from the national laundry and dyeing industry. Since its establishment more than five years ago, the Laundry and Dyeing Committee has achieved remarkable results through everyone's joint efforts, gaining recognition from industry professionals. It is one of the outstanding branches of the Commercial Federation and has been praised multiple times. The laundry and dyeing industry is an important part of the commercial service industry and a vital sector serving people's livelihood. It plays an active role in market prosperity, public service, employment absorption, and promoting urbanization development. The work of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee should be guided by the scientific outlook on development, promoting the industry to be customer demand-oriented, focusing on improving service quality, emphasizing brand-building, convenience, and scale operation, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the traditional laundry and dyeing industry, optimizing the industry structure, enhancing automation and informatization levels, and comprehensively improving service levels and market competitiveness. At the same time, the Laundry and Dyeing Committee should further strengthen its foundational construction, carefully study and explore association work rules, continuously improve service levels, and fully play the association's functions." The conference was hosted by Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee.
In the evening, the conference held a networking banquet, providing representatives with an opportunity for close communication and a platform for the multi-talented representatives to showcase their skills. Ms. Xu Manli, President of the Dalian Association, brought the networking event to a climax with her professional-level performance of "Kiss the Motherland," earning enthusiastic applause. The skit organized by Shanghai Taijie Company was vivid and lively, winning warm applause from the representatives. Leaders from enterprises such as Qingdao Jieshen and Tianjin Chaoli also took the stage to perform. Shanghai Aosishan Company even spray-painted a dragon painting on-site as a gift to the Laundry and Dyeing Committee, wishing the laundry and dyeing industry to advance vigorously like a dragon soaring and a tiger leaping.
On the morning of August 29, the new leadership members of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee held a work meeting at Shanghai Jiefeng Laundry Company. The newly appointed director, vice directors, secretary-general, and director of the expert committee attended the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, Wang Qinhua, President of the China Commercial Federation, presented appointment letters to the new vice directors and the director of the expert committee. Xie Qinggui, Chairman of Shanghai Jiefeng Laundry Company, representing the host unit of the meeting, delivered a welcome speech. Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General, reported on the Secretariat's work in 2009 and the work plan for 2011, saying: "China is a major laundry and dyeing country and will certainly become a strong laundry and dyeing country. By the completion of the national '12th Five-Year Plan,' China's laundry and dyeing industry's annual turnover will reach 100 billion! Therefore, China must have its own branded laundry and dyeing exhibition. Successfully organizing the 12th China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition in 2011 and related activities will be an important task next year." At the meeting, the vice directors and representatives actively discussed issues related to the Laundry and Dyeing Committee and industry development, exchanged views, and put forward many constructive and valuable suggestions.
