1 Scope
This standard specifies the service requirements, quality requirements, and packaging and storage requirements for the care of slick-surfaced leather jackets.
This standard applies to the business services of cleaning, maintenance, and decoration of slick-surfaced leather jackets.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in SB/T 10783 and the following apply to this document. For ease of use, some terms and definitions from SB/T 10783 are repeated below.
3.1
Leather care
The procedures for cleaning, maintaining, decorating, and repairing leather products such as leather jackets, leather goods, and leather shoes.
3.2
Slick-surfaced leather
Leather made from animal rawhide featuring full grain, semi-grain, corrected grain, transferred grain, and other characteristics.
3.3
Chapping
Irregular cracks appearing on the leather surface resembling tortoise shell patterns.
3.4
Coating
The process of applying chemical substances to leather products to make their surface attractive, soft, or to provide protection.

3.5
Decoating
A defect where the coating adhesion is poor or the coating is brittle, causing the coating to fall off in mud-like form when rubbed dry or wet, or in powder or flake form when kneaded.

3.6
Cracking
A defect where the leather coating surface develops cracks.
4 Service Requirements
4.1 All changes after leather jacket care can be judged by the reference sample attached before care or the untreated parts of the jacket.
4.2 After care, under normal wearing and storage conditions, the quality should remain stable within six months without abnormal discoloration, fading, decoating, cracking, or surface cracking; adhesive repairs should not peel off.
4.3 Operators should provide risk warnings to consumers when accepting leather jackets for cleaning, carefully inspect the jackets requiring care, detail the jacket's condition on the receipt, and record any damage or abnormalities with the consumer's signature approval.
4.4 If original accessories or ornaments of the leather jacket are lost or damaged at the time of service entrustment, the operator should identify and record this with the consumer face-to-face on the receipt as a basis for delivery inspection.
4.5 If the leather jacket has been improperly treated before entrusting the service or has severe dirt, the operator should negotiate the expected results of the promised service with the consumer face-to-face and confirm in writing.
4.6 For defects inherent to the leather jacket or common risks that may occur, the operator should be honest, proactively explain to the consumer, and note it on the receipt; otherwise, the operator shall bear corresponding responsibility.
5 Operation Procedures
5.1 Cleaning
5.1.1 Inspection and Classification
Identify the type of leather jacket, check and verify accessories, ornaments, and damage to the garment, and determine the washing method.
5.1.2 Stain Removal Treatment
Use the correct stain remover to pre-clean stubborn stains on the leather jacket.
5.1.3 Washing
Clean the leather jacket as a whole.
5.2 Decoration and Care
5.2.1 Repair
Repair damaged parts of the leather jacket.
5.2.2 Coating
Maintain the leather jacket coating as needed.
5.3 Finishing
5.3.1 Ironing
Remove wrinkles from the leather jacket.
5.3.2 Appearance Finishing
Restore the overall shape of the leather jacket.
5.3.3 Quality Inspection
Check the quality of leather jacket care according to quality requirements and agreements with the consumer.
6 Quality Requirements
6.1 Appearance
Basically maintain the original style without obvious deformation (except abnormal deformation).
6.2 Visual Appearance
Clean and beautiful, all parts naturally smooth, leather surface smooth, original patterns basically clear, no new wrinkles, no cracking, decoating, or peeling. Non-leather parts such as lining should have no dye or other coating stains. Original accessories and ornaments should be intact without obvious damage.
6.3 Hand Feel
Maintain the original elasticity of the leather. The hand feel should be soft, comfortable, smooth, and delicate without greasiness.
6.4 Cleanliness
Overall clean, no color paste aggregation, no obvious traces left after removing original dirt.
6.5 Color
Color basically consistent with the original color, natural color, strong adhesion, no obvious fading, no discoloration, no streaks.
6.6 Gloss
Natural, uniform, full.
6.7 Softness
Not stiff, no dead creases after folding.
6.8 Odor
No peculiar smell.
6.9 Limits of Harmful Substances
The limits of harmful substances in the treated leather clothing shall comply with the provisions of GB 20400.
7 Packaging and Storage Requirements
7.1 The inner and outer packaging of the product shall use appropriate packaging materials to prevent product damage;
7.2 Keep ventilated and dry, avoid heavy pressure, prevent moths and moisture, and avoid high temperature environments;
7.3 Keep away from chemical substances and liquid corrosion;
7.4 Avoid puncture and scratches from sharp objects.
